What about when youre the one pointing out consistent issues that management refuses to take care of, or are the cause of, and you become the scapegoat for voicing the issues in the first place?
One of the first places I have clients explore is their own presentation of issues … what would be a way to find alignment of issues with team goals?
There is a lot to this process and one I say there is often lots to learn from
There are ways to revisit an at risk relationship to try and regain trust and safety
Sometimes it is a leadership team issue and the best answer is to leave
This is an unfortunate truth in a team with poor leadership development
@@SmearCampaignsAreEvil So true. Unfortunately, I am finding this as a pattern in childcare centers. The person who complains to the director about an abusive situation of a child by a colleague they cover it up and don't acknowledge it.
Thank social media for this behavior
Social media has had an influence- I even think of how tv has changed they way we talk with each other
Good to hear a conversation on this topic.
Thanks - is this something you have experienced?
@@tammydunnettleadership i work in mental healthcare (unit), and the workplace dynamic is not always great. Ive witnessed a colleague being badmouthed at a meeting when she was not present. I have also been iced out of one workplace, but you are one of the few people saying that quitting doesnt necessarily help, which i think is a good point.
@@Feline-philosopher you have seen a lot, and in your field you know the importance of good mental health.
THIS should be taught in schools. Thank you :)
I agree!
What do you do when managers scapegoat abuse and are narcissistic.
Keep “receipts” - ask them for facts, details and dispute what is false in a graceful way
It's so ridiculous, to have to even think....to 'negotiate' with the miserable ones....play footsy with the ne'er-do-wells. My greatest desire....is to find a good fit, out in the working world. Seeking maturity and kindness in others....as well as an environment that allows for a fun, and enjoyable day. Those that lead with their nasty side....are more than offensive. Can you imagine what they are like on the homefront???!! Eww! Dear lord...hear my prayer.... Darn, those bills!!!
I agree having a place to work that is enjoyable and fun and a good fit is the ideal - and it is everyone’s responsibility to make that happen. Praying and hoping will not change the culture unless we all actively participate in it
I hope you get more subs I really liked this
Thanks 💕
Hi Tammy, this is Michelle it's to late for me. But keep up your work.
Hi Michelle! While the current opportunity to shift things up has changed, it is never too late to reclaim your life!
But in dysfunctional environments there is always a scapegoat and if you do not stay silent they scapegoat you....not talking about the fact that no one will defend you in exchange. Talking from experience...unfortunatelly.
Dysfuntional environments are created by the actions and inactions of every person there.
There are still yet....better opportunities out there. Never give up that mindset...because it's true.
