I spent an hour trying to disable ultra-hdr it is super annoying to me, a workaround is to edit the photo which removes the ultra hdr when you save it or view the photo with different app, not google photos.
The 50mb option is not giving me any advantages, i only tested with the main lens, will give the other lenses a try.

Yeah, I went to museum and did a ton of photosphere shots inside.
Also, was remodelling the kitchen and was able to give a really good idea to the designer of my room before they arrived.
Really good photo app. They need to bring it back, asap.
You should be able to use a gcam mod of an older version to get it back
Does best take require to upload all photos to cloud or will it work locally?
About the display settings at the end of the video, I could change it in the Pixel 7 Pro in developer options to set smallest width to 484 do from 448 dp to achieve more text on the screen like the 8 pro...love this mode
Talking about my Pixel 7 Pro, when I see the "details" of the photo on google photos I dont see the "Ultra HDR" laber, but if I share that same photo and paste the link on google chrome, then there I can see the photo on ultra hdr and I can see the label of "ultra HDR" on details but only in chrome
Just amazed by how deep you've dived into the features and found all out. Thanks for this informative video
I've noticed that using Picture in Picture for apps like CZcamsTV, Netflix, Amazon and Peacock drop the overall screen refresh rate. There is a jitter when scrolling in other apps while having a video in the corner of the screen. Maybe some testing of common social media apps will be a good test. So far I can tell most apps aren't optimized for the Pixel 8. Even Google's own apps weirdly.
At a glance and New Gem ringtones are also available on my Google Pixel 7. ❤
I see that you have + indicator in the camera app. Is that the level indicator? I'm not able to have that on my Pixel 8 Pro. May I know where can I turn that on? Thanks!

thanks for mentioning the display size.....odd that goog dropped a size for the 8. defintely takes some time to get used to and of course on the home screen it makes the empty space between date/time and apps look even worse

Hello Emad, thanks for the reviews. Emad, I have Pixel 7Pro 256gb. I want your opinion whether to upgrade to 8 Pro or to stay on what I have.
If you want new camera features you can sideload GCam version 9.1 with them enabled, and also Google Photos to take advantage of Ultra HDR photo and editing features. There's really not much else that changed to warrant upgrading after just one generation.

Will the Pixel 7 Pro receive the camera updates such as higher resolution, manual controls, pro mode from the newly launched Pixel 8 Pro?
It likely will eventually, but not soon. To get them now you can sideload a ported version of google camera and google photos.
These are some great features for the Pixel 8 and that Bay colour is stunning!
7:42 - Emad, usin my Pixel 8 Pro, the maximum astrophotography time is still 4:02, I don't know why yours is showing 3 minutes
I tried it many times and it's always the same, I covered the lens completely and made it pitch black, did you try this?
try changing the smallest width to 411 in developer settings
Audip eraser looks well
why not a single youtuber is talking about the peak brightness on pixel 8? I've had this phone for a week now and while in direct sunlight, it goes from 2400 nits to below 2000 nits in no more than a minute (gets pretty hot, too, and it isn't hot outdoors). Iphone 14 pro suffers from the same but it takes noticeably longer to drop brightness.
so if i am typical point and shoot person it is better to use JPG over RAW?
Definitely yes, they look better because Google's algorithms enhance the photo but RAW will give you the bare bones

That photo editor AI is really cool! My main problem with magic eraser was the artifacts left behind and this is now almost perfectly blended into the photo. Im hoping some of these features filter down to the tensor g2 models since they literally released the pixel fold only a few months ago.

Running cool for me. All day battery as well on the pixel 8. I'm not on a beta but my 6a on the beta definitely got hot sometimes. So far I haven't noticed much warmth only while charging once.

The pixel 7 pro can take UltraHDR photos with gcam 9.1 but for some reason doesnt show anymore on google photos, I can see UltraHDR on lightroom only

Have you experienced any bugs on your unit? Mine kills apps randomly for some reason, having 12GB of RAM this shouldn't be a problem
opt in for beta will give you 5G and many lags all are gone.
For Pixel 8 pro they changed the smallest width to 448 DP, that’s why it looks smaller. I kind of like it tho.

Some gripe i have with pixel and these feature is the time it takes to complete these actions. I really wish they can speed up these process. Once i tried showing a colleague some features. It took so long it became so embarrassing. Also these features also take a toll on the thermals and battery life.
I just wish Google could have a better processor and thermals.
Other thing i notice in this video is the quality of the front facing camera. The video is so bad and grainy. With all these AI google have, they could’ve at least improve the front facing camera to a level or at least close to the one we had in the pixel 2 or 3 back camera. Right now, it is not.
u don't have to increase display size
go to developer option tap on smallest display and change dpi

install latest beta, wifi calling i dont know. if you need all features which is availble in US, root stock rom and enable all fatures and opt in for beta. you will have all tye faetures turned on without root.
