In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Perhaps she's a practised stalker or secretly a spy, only posing as an entertainer? We'll find out in a scandalous biopic after she passes, I'm sure.

Looking at the entire series it's true. She even once said something along lines of "I just wanna get it done and get out"
Luke is so underrated. He's extremely witty, often he did better in the tasks than the score would make you think, and he's a great sport whenever the taskmaster didn't buy his ideas. Fantastic contestant!
You wrote it perfectly. He is so graceful when joke is on his expense and funny on his own. Also i love how he insisted Nina was necessary member of their grup and when he caught on how wrong it would be to leave her behind in "bath the giraffe" task.
Yeah, it's a trend I noticed with amost 4th-5th place contestants. The less points they have, the more entertaining and/or amicable they seem. between Luke, Victoria Coren Mitchell, Ivo Graham, and of course David Baddiel, I really don't mind who wins.

I honestly thought Nina was going to take Lesser Tom's elf hat like 5 seconds into the task because she wanted to wear it to do better at the task.
A disappointment of her not wearing it is immesureable.
For once, Nina was isolated in a task because she did the best!
And we couldn't tell if she did the best or terribly bad until the very last second of her attempt :P

Luke's awkward self destructive comedy and Nina's unintentional comedy of errors were my most favourite things from this season.😅❤
Nina is like the embodiment of ADHD. "Do you have the pencil? Where is the pencil?" and her coming back with a fancy hat was so hilarious I could relate to that so much. When you go look for something and then you get distracted and start playing with the things you found.
Like when she spent several minutes showing Lesser Tom cute buttons in the favorite color/fancy word task! 😆

i think my favorite thing about this show is assistant Tom. He has his own sassy input when they are doing they task, and depending on what they are doing it seems like he's also just having a good time and enjoying himself with his own input during the tasks
I thought Luke was enormously clever with his approach to the miniature task. He just let himself be goaded by Lesser Tom's "Do you think anyone else will go smaller?"
This cast will be hard to match by any version of Taskmaster. Really lovable people and very funny comedians. I can’t pick a favourite, since they were all great.
I've watched every episode of every series of every regional TM and this was one of my very favorite groups!
Nina and Fern Brady need to work together ASAP. I feel the chaos would be immense!
Add Bridget Christie as their team leader for some epic levels of chaos.

Nina is such a fun whimsical person it seems, she takes time to find items that make her happy in a bunch of the tasks.
She strikes me as the sort of person you could just film going about her day and end up with a variety show for children.
Between Alex, Lesser Tom, and Paul - I love ALL of the assistants so much. They really make each series great.

What a strong first season for any (English-language) Taskmaster! Cast and both Toms absolutely nailed it, cannot wait for more!

I think this was probably one of my favorite taskmaster seasons so far, I'm gonna miss every single one of these people and I'm genuinely a little sad it's over

@@platismatiaglauca The tasks are enjoyable but I can't get over the cringe watching them trying to replicate the characters of Greg and Alex. I think it would be better had they'd hired two comedians and just let them figure out what kind of interaction works best for them. This seems so forced.
I feel like Tom Gleeson has really fallen into the roll of the TM. His early Eps he seemed much more cautious to laugh and have fun and good banter, but these last few he's really got it going well
Also, his ratings are by far the most fair of all the taskmasters I've seen
I feel like it's unfair to have a judgment over a single season? 😅 Greg has had so much time to adapt his TM role

I think Tom made a good replacement for Alex in this series. He's the right mixture of "cute", cheeky, and prickish to be the assistant.
He should have said "All the information is on the task" for the present challenge, to avoid giving the hat away
I think it is tied with NZ season 2
I really liked this serries a lot, I knew none of these people going into it but they all grew on me by the end. I still think Taskmaster New Zealand season 2 is my all time favorite Taskmaster serries but I can fully understand why this is your personal favorite.
Tom 2 is definitely my favorite assistant
Tom is good, but honestly... he's too engaged? Alex is the right balance, and Paul is a little too distant but hilarious
Nina solving the thing without solving anything and yet getting only 3 points is so fuuny..
Multiple Taskmaster episodes in a week? I'm not complaining

Lovely series, also brilliant editing in the finale. I loved the Toms and the cast. Yes, Main Tom's scoring was strange at time's but the whole series was top notch entertainment.

I was going to laugh if Julia won the series after expressing how little effort she constantly put into tasks. Still impressive she got second place.

Such an amazing team. Cast was incredible, Tom and Tom were stellar in their roles for it being the first season, editing absolutely top notch, tasks were super creative and some borderline iconic now, and crew clearly delivered the heck out of this production. Bravo TM Australia!

Little Tom is actually the funniest out of everyone. I think it would be funny to see him completing the tasks.

Great series! I wasn't sure about the more easygoing dynamic at first but it worked out well. Definitely hope there will be more series down the line. I enjoyed getting to know NZ comedians I was unfamiliar with on the Kiwi version and then watching them in other shows; looking forward to getting to know additional Australian comedians through this series too. (If you haven't already seen Nina Oyama in Deadloch, she's great.)
Really enjoyed this season. The cast was great, as were the Toms.

Weird coincidence, but I have that same stress ball. It's a color change Needoh, and it's less for stress and more of a very nice sensory toy. Highly recommend. Worthy golden present.

As it wrap ups I'm confident to say that this Australian version is definitely comes as the second best Task Master franchisee(ofcourse the OG UK rules on the top for me),the taskmaster and the lesser tom are not trying to imitate Greg and alex is one of the best things they have their own style and aura ,and loved the cast for season 1 so naturally funny
It comes so close to OG Uk one .

NZ taskmaster is just too cautious. He seems to be more about making sure everyone is politically correct over being funny. Which is a shame bc the NZ assistant is pretty funny. Same with most of the cast
@@dtracers yeah the taskmaster of NZ surely is the weakest link,I just find him very expressionless like he doesn't really care about how the task is being done he just there to do an assigned job just want to get over with unlike uk and this Australian ones they genuinely take interest on how task is being done and judge very aptly and funnily

Man! In this episode luke really had chain of bad lucks ,i would've cried if i were in his shoes.
I see a lot of similarity between Danielle and Angela from Taskmaster New Zealand. They seem like they are very unsure of themselves, a bit anxious and sort of incompetent. But in the end they both won :)
I've watched SOOOO many seasons of Taskmasters, I mean All the flavors English, German, Swedish, Etc.. And this cast of of comedians I never heard of before just Cracked me up soo much. Very Strong Female Cast. Each hilarious in very different ways. A+

My thought process was the opposite of Luke, I was thinking you could make a detailed figure of yourself that's like a foot shorter than you and it would count as a miniature.
I've been watching from the Seychelles 🇸🇨 being a huge fan of all seasons of Taskmaster in the UK (now just starting season 17) and New Zealand.... I have loved the show... Tom you're amazing 👏... Fantastic win for Daniella... Julia, Jimmy, Luke and Nina all great performances overall from everyone.... Looking forward to the next season
