In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Komedie
Ironically, it was Ivo Graham who inadvertently came up with the perfect answer for the aging task: The classic toilet paper mummy. You're three thousand years old and you don't have to do any acting.
I was to late to think of this first, was that the task for "the best twist"?
YES !! i still believe he was robbed on that one.
Was that Season 15, UK?
But, how is that in any sense irony?
See, my thinking was you have one of the cast present an urn, then you come in and give a memoriam speech to the ashes
Could suggest someone died young, so might not have worked@@cloaking111
I love how good Danielle is at breaking Tom!
Lesser Tom. Nobody can break Tom Gleeson.
I love how confident Nina is at everything and just fails wonderfully
Task failed successfully
Right? In a line up, she seems so competent. and then the clips are shown, haha.
She did well on the reinventing the wheel task lolol
@@steveoconnivo9666 YES I'll give you that!
Danielle's comeback "Mine doesn't say I love kids" was gold 😂
This is the second time Danielle's task has had me crying laughing, her old impression was fucking incredible
I love all of Danielle's task attempts but I especially love how much Tom enjoys them as well.
Luke threatening to bash someone, is the least threatening thing ever.
I’ll bash ya- hehehehe
Second least threatening thing, Jessica Knappett is the least.
Finally, some context for Julia licking the milk out of the bottle in the title sequence 😂😂😂
omg my exact thoughts
I mean, liberal use of the word "some" bc I don't think I've ever seen a child do that haha
That shock in toms face when julia walked in as a baby, was absolute brilliant, I love him as the ta
I really love how involved lesser Tom is and how often they include his facial expressions.
“what about sun protection”
“hat”
best quote of the series
Same energy as "how do you keep your pants up?" "belt."
Not the BEST quote but it was good!
I'm so sorry Danielle was so committed to the role, I can't. I don't think I've ever laugh/cried this hard on all of the TM series (UK, NZ. AU)
This episode really feels like the ensemble hitting their stride. One of the best studio tasks on any taskmaster show too!
it is getting better as the season goes on, will be a worthy second to the british version
Danielle has one of the coldest comebacks I've ever seen at 42:11
that's one of my favorite jokes in this season
I like how it seems like the others almost forgot about the caption, but Danielle's comeback helped her win the 5 points for sure. 😆
Danielle deserved to win this one just on the back of being the only one who really understood the prize task, but then her aging task also blew everyone else out of the water.
I mean a 270 year difference is pretty terrific.
Nina's justification for why her monster is prestigious might be my favorite moment of this episode.
I think shes one of my favourite ever contestants, so full of joy in everything she does despite just not being very good. shes very funny too
Nina has been delightfully useless in every episode, never loosing her joyful personality no matter how badly she biffs the task.
39:47
tbf, that monster was dripping with prestidiginanity.
@@momon969 positively prestigolopous, I say
Hopefully Nina started locking her door...
Why? Danielle still has half her shoes, as well as the Q-Tip container.
Who would have thought negative gearing would come up again.🤣
Came here to say this!!
6:29 Nina always has the most energetic entrance!
The monster task is one of my favorite live tasks I’ve ever seen on any taskmaster
Nina was robbed.
Just in time for my 11pm raid the kitchen task. Timed it perfectly 👌
We must be in the same time zone, then 😂
I have to say, I think this episode is Top 3 of all time best Taskmaster episodes from anywhere.
same. first actual task was amazing (reinvent the wheel) and live task (even though ending got cut on youtube) was pure chaos
Ooh, what got cut?
@@funk3nst3inthe ending didn’t get cut, tho? They revealed their sexy monsters on their chairs rather than on the stage. It looked like it got cut, but I think that’s just funky editing.
Dannielle's prize task comes off as a better executed version of David Correos' Most Impressive Stolen Item, the shoe rack from his flat.
i was rooting for nina all the way but starting to love danielle more and more lmao. the commitment to the aging, nailing the prize task, the quick thinking with the monster drawings. hats off my girl, hats off
very kind of the task master to ignore infant julia's 45 years of television experience
This Live Task was amazing, would love to see it on the UK show. And last week the cast won me over but this week...Tom Gleeson was every bit the sarcastic, self-important, schadenfreude-loving Taskmaster that Greg Davies is. I couldn't pay the AU show any higher compliment, congrats!
The live task was cut off during drawing of the "make it sexier". They didn't even say who won.
they announce the winners back at their seats@@JohnDlugosz
@@JohnDlugosz Did you get an ad at the end and assumed the video was over, before it actually was? That sometimes happens to me. 😅
Your wish to see it on the UK show came true very quickly there!
I had totally forgotten Danielle’s montage and I’m so glad it was brought up again at 27:05 😂
😅 As soon as I heard the word sexier I knew he would forget about kids and laughed my butt off
Words cannot describe how much I love Luke's humor. 18:06
After many years I have come to appreciate the artistic unlikeness of Greg's taskmaster statue. The life molds of other countries lack something.
Kongen Befaler and Stormester (Norway and Denmark) have the best trophies.
I love this live task so much! Would love to see it on the OG Taskmaster sometimes.
you got lucky!
i love how harsh tom is as taskmaster, it actually is really cool to see points be something to be vied for
Tom is the best taskmaster when it comes to giving grades
aged Danielle is just Brilliant
I want to see Noel Fielding do the final stage task lmao
Noel and Sam Cambo in a one-on-one!
Pure madness
Tom breaking is my favorite thing in this series
What is it with Aussies and Negative Gearing? Sam Campbell used that as one of his answers on the Little Alex Horne version. 😂
Aaaand, now, the 2nd best "trolling another contestant" prize task entries ever courtesy of Danielle (1st being Laura Daniel stealing everyone's girlfriends, of course).
Nina is the Peoples Champions of this season
Upset at how I haven't seen anyone point out that Jimmy's de-aging attempt is just baby Spencer from icarly
@16:41 the only other time I've heard of NEGATIVE GEARING besides Sam Campbell in S16?! 😅
must be an Australian thing, huh?
Nina turns the car radio down when she is parking
Tom is my favorite TM PA!
Thanks Alex Horne for coming up with the concept of this great show
This is a great group of people, very rewarding to watch so far. They're all absolutely fantastic, but I love the craziness Julia brings to the table, and Nina - she's just soo endearing. Julia keeps herself fit, I noticed some nicely toned underarms when she wanted "UP".
Ngl, if he'd changed it to "let's make kids" at the end he might've won
"the less you do the better you perform." They left that beautiful setup just so sadly by the side 😢
this taskmaster is crazy good
I know when i finally meet someone who is a fellow tasker, they will be the one!
Amazing live task
her boob fell out after the whistle was blown, thus her transformation from baby to 18 year old happened AFTER task was complete. 17 years needs to be added to her score.
Even without that, she was out of character most of the time. "talking in sentences" but not necessarily 17; maybe 12. So five years added to her score.
@@JohnDlugoszlegitimate point
Thanks you for sharing!! I couldn't wait. Prestigian show, geat episode, excellent live task :-)
Easily the best episode this season. 😂
@10:30 from "how do you know how to do this?! who are you?!"
to " just bang it off the ramp. LET'S SEND IT!!!"
the remote control car task is honestly one of my favorite tasks on any series
Keep em coming!
This made my day!
Daniele absolutely smashed that drawing task
I'm so happy it's been a long year since a youtube channel with this show was taken down. Finally I got to see my favorite task age or de age. Up. UP up?
Cant wait for the clip show of their dance
Prestigion
Julia put the hand under the car that got it over the ramp
Love every version of Taskmaster. Each one is absolutely hilarious and 👌.
❤
The age-task was perfection.
"What do they call a hundred dollar bill in America?" Me: "A c-note?"
Fantastic live task
I love this cast so much, but Luke is another level
as a uk native i love watching these guys do there thing
11:35 Thing riding the car killed me
24:37 don’t forget she also said “I’ve been on television for 45 years” so that should have made her at least 45
The scoring was quite nice to her on that round
To be fair, could've been the drugs
@@evillttlimp what???
I can see drugs making an 18 year old think they'd been on tv for 45 years somehow, idk.
I've watched a fair amount of Antipodean comedy in the last couple years, and I'd like to think I know a few handy Aussie and Kiwi phrases, but I have never heard snag in that context, despite the fact that I am aware (thanks to Adam Hills) of the Australian democracy sausage
I didn't know about it either, but ChatGPT assures me that it's commonly known in AU.
@@JohnDlugosz chatgpt? I would have just googled it
And I still don't get what the lame joke in "hid a snag" was...
@@LupoFCS04 He said 'hit a snag', which is a fairly common expression for encountering a problem.
I am relieved that the stuff around Julia's mouth in the intro clip of her licking milk out of a bottle is (supposedly) food and not the cat litter I thought it was.
Until now I had thought she was meant to be some sort of a demented cat. Although the reality isn't much more sane.
18:33 when the automatic subtitles tell a unique story
it just says music for me
I really appreciate the diferent personallities between Tom and Alex.
Entirely superficial, but Julia has amazing legs, and you have to appreciate the royal way she sits -- clearly the queen of this series.
Okay, but can we talk about how stunning Julia is in that dress?
Nina is literally perfection
Bizarry beautiful!
That was an excellent final task. Imagine asking someone to draw a sexy monster and it says "I love kids"
What are the birds zipping around in Jimmys reading of the snag task????
Fantails, native to NZ (location) I believe. They do that crazy flight thing
Rewatching the series I love the thru-line of Nina and hats. Like the helmet in the team task here: not helpful but important anyway.
Nina and Danielle are the two most adorable contestants I've ever seen on taskmaster
16:38 I can't hear Negative Gearing and not think of Sam Campbell lol
just in time for my lunch break :>
The de-aging task.might be the three year old's favorite of all time. She lost her mind at people dressed like babies. 😂😂😂
This is so cool 😂
This is the first I've seen of the Australian version of this show, and I just want to say that the taskmaster golden bust looks like the Baron Harkonnen from the new Dune movies
I think the baldness is doing most of the heavy lifting in that comparison lol
Yoo hoo really made me laugh good heavens
Had the Benjamin Button clue in a split second 😂
My idea for the prize task was some life saving medication. But that would probably cross the line
Luke should have written MAKING between I LOVE KIDS. Or claim it was there in white ink.
Whaddaya wanna see young man?
Does anyone know what song they use in the live show?
I think it's something from the original Taskmaster, recorded by The Horne Section specifically for Taskmaster.
What's gonna happen when they start posting the new series on fridays? Will this series stay on the same time, or move to be posted a different day? Or will they pause uploading until after the new series?
Why does it matter?
@@killermonjero Because I'm enjoying watching this series, of course. What a weird question.
@@rs8751 It's not weird. You can still watch it, no matter when they post it.
I would pay good money to see a basketball match between Jimmy and Tom.
So fast today, I'd get soooooo many points
😂😂 soo funny today
Don't forget to add captions. (Previous episodes had captions associated.)
can anyone explain the "looks like you've hid a snag" joke during the barbecue task to me? (English isn't my first language)
"Hit a snag" means "found a problem". He's using the double meaning of snag as a "problem" because their task is to find a snag (sausage)
@@barbararobertson9505 thanks a million! is snag a problem as Australian as snag as a sausage?
@@StuffLikeJuda No, I had never heard snag as sausage before this show, it's Australian. Snag as a problem is familiar to me, and I'm American
Is Australia and New Zealand Taskmaster filmed at the same location?
Yes
for the age difference, I'd be a 2000 year old Egyptian mummy
I think nina is very prestigious. What ever this means
