After watching this video I went to Sound solutions audio and purchased a Dc Audio m3 8 inch on the 21st. I checked on my order today it still did not ship might not buy from that Dealer again
He builds for all size subs but drives a pickup truck and 8s will fit under the seat of most trucks. I run 3 soon to be 4 sundown 8s under seat in a crew cab GMC Sierra on a Rockford fosgate tuned to 32hz.
Pretty sure everyone would rather run 32" subwoofers with thousands of watts of power, but it's not exactly practical. Decide how much vehicle space you have or willing to use. Then you need to decide how much you are willing to upgrade your vehicles power production. A simple general rule is about max 1000 watts per 100 amp of alternator power if you don't want any issues like headlight dimming. You can obviously break this rule and install as much wattage as you want, but be prepared for electrical issue. You can check alternator MFR's for various sizes that will fit your vehicle and determine how far you are willing to go... 240amp, 320amp, 425amp.... Dual alternators, Extra batteries.... on and on.
Had a pair of these and was disappointed couldn't take the power from a jl audio slash 1200 1v3 they would bottom out. I've been commenting he should try the ground zero 20xspl which is an 8in.
@@HashDogg06 box was 2.1 cubic ft I believe so a little bigger than recommend which was .75 ported for each sub, and gz only asks for .78 for each. I swapped out those dc 8s and put the ground zeros in the same box same power and handled better without bottoming out.
I gotta say all the car audio channels I watch this is my favorite one

Sounds like you were giving to much power for given box size.
