Hi don't worry just follow the video I am sure you will be fine, just take extra time, make sure you have everything at hand,when I done this video it was first time that I done this, 3 years after and it is still nice and clean. Good luck
A thank you from the future 🙂 So I lost the 3 springs... I actually only saw one before it disappeared too but I got the feeling they are not important. I think those 3 springs are only used during calibration where those 3 screws are screwed in at a certain depth after which those lines of glue fix the distance of the lens in place. I am going to guess you would only get in trouble if you were to break that glue residue when you crank down hard on those 3 screws during reassembly. About the sticky tape, I chose to chisel the tape away using an exacto knife around the screw heads. Don't cut with that sharp metal object next to a lens, just poke carefully. That was perfectly enough to get the screws out while keeping the installed sticky tape clean enough to be reused. About the original dust in lens problem, I thought that was not my problem. I thought this camera had developed damage in the middle of the two lenses where they seemed to touch. As the images became useless I decided that perhaps removing the "obvious" glass dust might lessen the problem. Upon cleaning that spot in the middle I was pleasantly surprised that it completely disappeared! It was just dust/dirt after all! Just neatly collected as a white spot exactly in the middle. So now this camera can perhaps last for another 12 years.
Brooo i got the same problem, my camera got a little spot right in the middle. I'm afraid to open the lens but I want to do it because the spot apers sometimes in my pictures.
