  • Noah Kahan is one of the most successful singer-songwriters in the world right now, but it wasn’t that long ago that he was writing his latest album, Stick Season, while isolated on a Vermont farm during the peak of the pandemic. Now, he’s considered the next big thing in music. Noah joins Tom in studio for a conversation about writing the album that would change his life, the power of tapping into his authentic self, and how he’s protected his mental health while on this crazy ride.

As soon as I see a new upload, I get a smile on my face. I truly look forward to watching / listening to Tom and his guests. It's evident that he and his team have done their research on each guest to such a degree that it's not an interview; it's a really interesting conversation filled with humour and empathy. Today in particular I appreciated Noah's openness and honesty. If you haven't listened to Stick Season yet, you're missing out - it's great.

Tom's approach is great for getting guests to feel comfortable and conversational, he gets cool tangents you wouldn't hear anywhere else because of the setting. With the musician interviews there could be some sort of Tiny Desk/AudioTree/Triple J element. How about musicians (me and maybe Tom) prepare a cover of an artist's song without them and surprise them with the arrangements which they must sing over and make it funny/creative. (let me do this and I can delete this comment so nobody steals it)

Great interview. I think this album is one of the few in recent years that i truly love the entire album. It’s still in regular rotation for me. Love the songs he put out with the other artists equally as well.

It's crazy to think that while I was listening to the busyhead album (which got me through college) Noah Kahan was feeling like he hadn't been successful in life..

I just feel like I want to be friends with Noah. He's funny and doesn't take himself too seriously, but also has that ability to have deep conversations and connect with his and other people's feelings.
