Over the past few years, Kat has grown her social media following to over 12 million strong by storytelling her life as she seamlessly juggled parenthood and her career. Kat, the respect I have for you has grown even further after watching this episode. Obviously, you've shown a lot of vulnerability in your TikToks over the years, but there's also plenty of humor and playfulness, and entertainment. But how you showed up in this interview, with so much humility and honesty and realness was so refreshing to see. Both are beautiful, both are entertaining, both are intelligent...but this version of you wasn't performative. And I imagine that being an entertainer might come with an added pressure to be "on" all the time. So I deeply respect and admire the version of you we got to experience in this interview. I loved your honesty and your authenticity!

I’m obsessed with this episode and have a whole new respect for Kat after hearing her actual story. What makes me dislike this show/podcast all together is how rushed all of Jason’s conversations feel. I could probably listen to her talk for a couple hours, same with some previous guests. I quit listening 6-8 months ago, because it lost interest anticipating a weekly episode that doesn’t even cover all the things I would love to hear from these guests. So my feedback would be to make it more of a conversation and stop cutting and editing so much to get it down to the probably required timeframe (if possible). Of course that could lose a larger amount of your audience, but that’s my feedback 🤪

I'm going to be real and answer some of the questions Jason was asking around the 10-15 minute mark:
*I* personally found out who Kat was during covid because a video went viral of her ex telling her she could have been nicer, and she responded with everything she had done that day. There's no way for me to know if that was their first video or not, but that video invited me, personally, into their journey. I then saw more videos of her and her ex and thought they made up a cute family! What kept me around was watching her grow personally, and being unapologetically honest about it online. I have many friends who are single parents. Some advice Kat gave in regards to divorce/breaking up sticks with me to this day: "That is not the same person you entered into the relationship with. They are not going to enter the divorce with all of your best interests at heart." (Or something along those lines)-- this advice has helped some of my friends process their lives.
As a single man just starting out in content creation to inspire other single men, this was interesting to see to hear how Kat got things off the ground with her content!
You two have great chemistry!
