One of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, he was originally signed for £150,000 from Bury, and he went on to amass a record 750 Everton appearances; along with being a key player in both Kendall’s Golden Age and Royle’s Dogs of War. Everton’s most decorated player, he helped the Toffees to 2 First Division titles, 2 FA Cups, the European Cup, 3 Charity Shields and a Super Cup, along with a plethora of individual awards including the PFA Footballer of the Year award and inclusion in the PFA TOTY 4 times.
