I think that’s what they usually do and it turned out he had an iron deficiency so at some point they need to get him to eat something.

Children should never have anxiety or upset around food. They will eat when they are hungry. Parents give them too many snacks during the day then they wonder why they don't want lunch or dinner. No snacks! No eating between meals! Give them fruit after meals but right after.
My son gets no snacks in between. Because I know if he does he won't eat dinner. But if it's something he doesn't like, he won't eat. Period. Serious issue with him. He is getting better but still won't eat veggies or fruit.
@@tslilbearshoppe9870 agreed! Parents use snacks all day as distractions and offering them constantly. The kid will always say yes to snack foods.
Then you prepare dinner for hours and they won’t touch it.

@UzziHD so what is your suggestion? Force feed him? 🤔 He gets what he gets and if he doesn't eat it he goes hungry until the next meal. 🤦♀️
@@charityfrazier8639 doesn’t leave the table until plate is finished. If bed time comes up then meal is out away and child immediately goes to sleep with no stories or cuddling. Repeat as many nights as possible.

I was probably 5 or 6: but decided I wasn’t going to eat hot cereal at breakfast. My mom calmly told me she didn’t care if I had it for lunch, but I wasn’t leaving the table until I’d finished it. So with some more milk & brown sugar added I had it for lunch…cold.
