This has to be the one of the best videos about a Stephen King book collection, because I love when people talk about covers and mainly the original ones(those are always the best imo) and not just the story. And a big plus for collecting hardcovers. I enjoyed your collection and I am glad I found your channel
Thank you so much for your kind words - I agree - the original covers are by far the best 🤗
I love this! Those covers are stunning. And I know searching for those old ones is a wild goose chase.
Right? Definitely a fun scavenger hunt 😅
Bruh your salems lot cover is like flawless, i’m jealous.
truly, I really lucked out with that one, I love that I have such a pristine cover of one of my favorites!!
I loved The Stand. I didn't know anything about the story, I started back in march 2020 when Covid was starting to worry people.
It was an interesting experience, to say the least.
You have a great collection, I've read about 48 King books, my top 5 are:
1. It
2. 11.22.63
3. Pet Sematary
4. The stand
5. Misery
The ones I didn't like or didn't care for: Rose Madder, Lisey's story, Gerald's game (honestly hated this one, it took me months to finish and yeah, probably the worst king book I've read so far), joyland and thinner.
Greetings from Brazil ❤
I read the Stand about that time too - I enjoyed the beginning a lot, just didn’t care for where it went 😅 2020 was a crazy time to read it though I can’t believe in retrospect I thought it was a good idea 🙃
It and 11.22.63 and Pet Sematary are definitely in my top ten!! 🤗
Thank you for watching!!!
Oooh love your collection. I have a much smaller SK collection but love the ones I do have. So many classics.
you seem to be missing "The Talisman", co-authored by Peter Straub, a great read. If you like Horror and Fantasy, I think you'd enjoy this one, in any case, a great collection! Also, you may want to consider covering your dustjackets with mylar(brodart) dustjacket covers to protect those older dustjackets and to prevent any further damage to them, as well as keeping the new dustjackets looking pristine. There are several tutorials on youtube on the process of applying them to your covers, and the instant upgrade in appearance they give your books.
Thank you for the helpful advice! I appreciate it!! Also, I am missing the Talisman, and I am looking forward to reading it :)
Love the collection!!!!!! Stephen King is great, my favorite story from him, and of all time, is The Shining. But, then again, I haven't read IT yet. Good luck finding the first edition IT as well, i hope i get it one day, it will be the biggest display of my entire bookshelves
super cool collection!
Thank you!! 😄
Love your collection and the video. Just stumbled onto your channel as I was searching for a book review.
The US covers for Stephen King seem so much nicer than in my country. Anyway, you have a new sub. Greetings from Germany
Oh no, I hate when my preferred cover is the one for another country 🥲 I usually like uk fantasy covers better than us but definitely lucky when it comes to King!! Thank you for watching!
very nice collection and i also love the classic covers of these books and i agree that a lot of the newer covers are not nearly as cool lol
I have the same it version! Scribner, rite?
If you want cool covers of the Dark Tower series look at the Grant first editions. They’re pricey but my god they’re awesome. I have them all in my collection, except for the Gunslinger it’s a second edition Grant. Also look for Little Sisters of Eluria it’s part of the Dark Tower series along with Wind Through the Keyhole.
I’ve read Little Sisters of Eluria- it’s in one of the short story collections (Everythings Eventual maybe?) Those Grant editions look awesome 🤩 definitely out of budget for me right now but absolutely keeping an eye out for them!
@@herbivorehauntsI found all my Grant editions at a flea market. The lady sold thing she found in storage lockers and estate sales. She didn’t know what she had I got them all for 2/$10 each.
Do you have the uncut version of the Stand or consider pursuing?
I don’t have the uncut version yet! Plan on it eventually though!
Do you thrift shop online or in person?
Both!! 🤗 I prefer in person so I can really review the condition but I do buy a lot online too.
Why is Salems lot ur fave?
I just really love the story ( I love vampire fiction) and I also love how the town itself is a character.
Have you read Rose Madder
I have! I am due for a reread, it was my very first Stephen King book I ever read 🥰
