no clue why they decided not to code auto fold side mirrors when car is locked in the USA.
That’s because in the east coast unfolding they’ll break due to the severe cold weather in the morning.
Did they give you the option to increase the brightness of the LED headlights or high beams? I know Nick Murray had his car coded so that the high beams were much brighter than stock. Just wondering if the Carly asked has that option as well, I didn't see it in the video. What about the European anti-dazzle feature?
The anti-dazzle future as far as I know it’s just for 17s and below. It did give me options to increase my headlights brightness and I did do that
This is really cool, but it's surprising that you have to buy the adapter AND pay an annual license fee ($60, I had to install the app just to find that). I wish they were more upfront about pricing and just had a one time price.
Does changing these settings void the warranty?

No it would have to be directly linked to the issue.

Yes, you can. You can even change the noise to different car manufactures like Bentley.

Yes it stays when disconnected. You can reset to default. Coding for trunk I'm not sure. I had that from the factory. GTS trans flash will have to be done through something like BM3

Scott No, you’ll need something programmed. Not coded.
My dealer did it for me; my M5 went from 155 to 183 mph...yes, I tried it several times...
is this device only for BMW or can you use it to simply diagnose other cars like Lexus/Audi
Check the website. They work for other vehicles.

they already do....
jayy den by default the M4 starts in efficient(engine) and sport steering and sport suspension for some reason, idk why but it doesn’t default to all in the most conserved setting

Yes, it is subscription based however once you code it’s saved so if you wanted to cancel you can and the settings will save.

If you hold down the BMW button when you lock the car the mirrors fold in without coding. Does it allow you to unlock paddles if you install a paddle steering wheel?
Sounds like you bought a used car that has already been coded. It doesn't do that from the factory. Yes you can install paddles and code them.

I bought a 2014 m sport touring and I can't figure out why the wing mirrors don't fold in am I just being stupid or is it because I need to program it on the ecu with that carly thing
You need to program it with this. Also make sure your Mirrors are motorized I’m pretty sure they are there is a button next to the mirror switches. Then you have to program the coding to do it with the key fob or the comfort access.

I been watching about of these videos recently... In the UK we have always had the Windows going up and down with the remote as standard... I been doing it since 2002 at least.... Also if you have power folding wing mirrors they fold as standard without coding.... I dint get why they do this in the USA...

Because I have a 88’ BMW E30 that’s going OBD2 and the adaptor will work. Also anyone with a 96’ or newer E36 they’ll want the adaptor. New cars not Necessary

I feel it's important to mention that even after the purchase of the OBD2 dongle - you're required to buy an annual subscription for $75 to code, do diagnostics or really make ANY use of the $70 dongle. It's pretty garbage that this isn't said until you get into the app and start trying to use it. NO Mention in your video and to be honest. I'm feeling kinda misled now that I've bought the dongle on your recommendation and using your link.

Yes. BMW has a very extensive diagnostic system built into the vehicle itself and can warn your dealership of any code tampering. I've avoided many people's warranties from using things like these.

Carly was/used to be the go to coding app that worked great, but now since they are a subscription service at $74/yr it's a waste. For the 1 maybe 2 times a year you would even need to code your car there are other better options out there now that are not subscription. Just get a good k+Dcan cable with the INPA or Esys software which gives you coding option and much better diagnosing ability as well. Yes they are not as convenient as an app driven coding system like Carly, but then again doesn't charge you year after year. Others have good systems as well like BimmerGeeks and BimmerCode and Vgate. Just giving other options is all.
