Damn, that bass player is the friggin Rock of Gibraltar. Solid.
Absolutely love his playing.
Not only is he locked in, but that tone is crispy and crystal clear.
Wes is the Bes(t)! 😉
That lap steel sound really butters my toast. Fantastic playing
Brilliant arrangement. The pedal steel is just magical in this one.
Thank you! Milo Deering is one of the finest all-around string musicians on Earth.
Wish I could have caught your show in Raleigh last week. Life just got in the way. Going to keep an eye on your schedule. You're a super talent Mark. Keep up the great work.
I'm not much of a country person but I Love the sound of a lapsteel in rock/blues music
Totally agree. I always enjoy Mark's playing, but the pedal steel was so good I wanted to cop those licks instead! :)
@@aussie_philosopher8079 David Gilmour anyone?
Every time I revisit this video I'm blown away. How does this not have like a billion views? It's just magic!
In this room full of MONSTER players, Milo really nailed it! 🥰
They had to fade this out because rumour has it, the outro jam felt so good that they're still going as we speak
That polyrhythmic high hat is killer.
I'll bet that steel/fiddle player has some stories to tell.
That change to the bridge pickup right in the middle of the bend at 4:38 was so smooth!
1:53 got chills for that harmony! ❤️
Road trip music. Can't get enough.
1:53. That harmony.
Contrary motion is the way yo!
It's magnificent, I don't hear songs on the radio with great harmonies these days
Bass-dude has got the groove! Mark as well of course.
The bass player is grooving hard
The bass and drums have a ridiculously killer groove going!
He's totally getting off on it . It's good fun
Do you know the name of the bass player ???
@@petroschoremis149 Wes Stephenson he plays for the funky knuckles.
Well sometimes you have to hear someone else interpret a song you didn't think you liked to actually get it !!
Love the introduction of the steel guitar to complete the picture for me.
Thanks Stu!
cant stop listening to this........
that lap steel is insane! love this version.
Tottally agree, dude! ;)
That's a 'Pedal Steel Guitar'...
I must Say i 'm in love with that version.
😏
🌺🌺🌺
I play steel guitar and violin so naturally this made me happy 😊
I love the original of this track... can listen to it endlessly without it ever getting stale. I'm not a fan of remakes but this is the best I've ever heard it done. That pedal steel... so great!!
Dang. Four years late to the party, but love the crisp recording that Mark does. You can hear ALL of the instrumentation and NOTHING is overproduced. Beautiful compositions.
Such crazy beautiful playing! Love this! Replay! :)
His new album is pure magic ! Check out Bob reynolds's guitar band ;)
That's some brilliant drumming! Love the soft "push."
urg
Carries the beautiful vibe and groove of the original song, yet sounds fresh and interesting. Quite brilliant IMHO.
very good
Keeping up a steady mid tempo is a skill...bravo the drummer
Tears to my eyes...beautiful!
Can't ever get enough of this gem.
My favourite song by my favourite guitarist, what a treat! Can’t wait to see you and your band live in England, Mark. Thank you again for your encouraging and inspiring email to me when I had a guitarist crisis, Mark. Things are much better and I am enjoying my guitar journey again. Kindest regards, Gaetano
Just wanted to add my voice to say that Milo Deering can play some pedal steel. He makes me remember why it can sound so cool.
I can't hear this enough. What a great take on an already great tune.
Now let’s hear Sowing the Seeds of Love.
omg, the pedal steel
Amo ouvir suas musicas sao maravilhosas
The Bass Guitar guy, the drummer and the slide guitar ol man, they are the Man!.. 👍
Beautiful rendition, I had the honor of working with Milo for a year of so (i'm not in the same league by a long shot!!!) Love Milo and the rest of you guys.
WTF!! What a brilliant rendering of this iconic pop song! And, who would have thought blending such a diverse, multilayered mix of instrumentation - so far from the original - would create this beautiful and glorious musical perfect storm! Whosoever idea it was to bring these superb talented heads together (which I assume had to be Mark) has shown some remarkable producing chops. Very well done, Lads!
Wish I can play the guitar with Mark's sofistication, but making it sing sweetly as that pedal steel! Damn, that guy is such a great player too! I got chills everytime I hear the "bend" at 4:10 and the soft sliding at 5:35! Honestly, I can't get tired of watching this video!
Ever wondered what bliss sounded like? Well, it's a lot like this!
