I'm also a trauma survivor. Was in a coma 2 months back when I was 12. I'm now 57 almost, 58. All my life since being hit by that car, that also killed my younger sister; I've literally been locked down emotionally. Since starting yoga 7 years ago, in the past 11/2 or so, after a very tumultuous relationship that I finally ended; and seriously began taking care of me, I've been sleeping at night every night on a schedule my body has seemed to regulate on its own. I'm completely convinced that yoga stretching does some serious rearranging where it needs being done. Naturally without medication. Which never did work.
This was exactly what I needed this morning. Thanks, Bird!

I’ve been doing yoga on and off for the past 7 years. I’ve had a lot of teachers in that time (both online and IRL) but you’re the only one I’ve ever seen bow before you practice. I’m not sure if it’s to us or your mat (or both), but I really like that. It feels both respectful and inviting - it’s hard to explain! 😊
I relate so much, I’ve also been doing yoga for a little over 5 years and Bird has been the best teacher, very welcoming and respectful, and also very helpful as I struggle to sleep most nights. ❤
