It has been days only since i discoverd this kind of drawing scenario, so called 'urban sketching' . I had drawn once, and i learn techniques through watching your sketchbook. Thanks to you i got ideas now how i can improve sketching live images.
I have been admiring your sketches and you have a good eye for capturing the feel of a place. Agree that the derelict industrial areas can be fascinating - we have lots of declining industry here in Northern England which are full of interest. Hope to see more of your work soon.

Your Snaps are much more lively than what my DSLR catches... And believe me I have captured quite a lot... Thanks so much! Unfortunately, I had limited time in Ireland and was traveling with a friend. I'll have to make it back another time - and hopefully meet up with other urban sketchers then! :-)
I meant to ask ... do you do a pencil sketch first? Also what fountain pen do you use. For writing I use a safari fountain pen, might try sketching with it as an experiment.😊
