- Hi everyone! I'm really excited to share something new with you - a step-by-step tutorial on how I paint trees and foliage in the fall.
I was only able to finish the line work and initial painting of this sketch on location, so I decided to record the rest of my process at home and share some of my tips and tricks with you.

I’ve been struggling to make the foliage in my own sketches convincing, or something I’m happy with, and am going to try again in somewhat your style. Everything looks so lovely that you produce. I used this to practice today.
I painted three derelict Roman columns instead of the full building. I was mainly inspired by how you did the shrubs and trees.
It looks great but mine lacked realism. More like a paisley scarf than trees but I am so taken by your work.
