Broken Roads is a new CRPG game inspired by classic RPG's like the Fallout games series, Disco Elysium, Wasteland 3 and Baldur's Gate 3. The game is based in post apocalyptic Australia, Broken Roads takes dialog choices to a new depth as well as including traditional classes, origin stories and a unique moral compass system. Even though I said it ain't my typical kind of game, I'll add it to my game library to support the creators as it looks interesting and seems to have a lot of rpg depth. 😁

This game is great! The people sound like people I've met, the places seem like old country towns I've lived in, the landscape is _gorgeous!!_ Yep, I have to buy this game this week while its on sale, I think. I wanna play it so bad!

35:48 "I mean, I thought I knew which way I swung, but now I'm not sure" That's a high compliment in my book (you rocked his world) 😂 This is an interesting game, just the morality system alone already drew me in. They basically implemented "multiclassing" with alignments, since being narrow-minded unlocks certain options more deeply associated with an alignment (much like higher-level features in a single class), while being broad-minded gives you a wider range of options but only at the base-level of each alignment (much like lower-level features from different classes).
personally hoping it's more like, narrowmindedness gets you the higher tier options faster while a broad outlook gets them slower, especially if it starts effecting more than just dialogue

Even broken roads in suburban towns like mine in Australia, takes forever for officials to get it sorted and fixed. But, the game is probably more complex than that. Looks interesting even though it's not my typical type of game. Good they have translations for Aussie slang instead of dubbing over it like they did for Mad Max for Americans to understand it.
They did that to our beautiful langauge? Sacrilege!!! Feed them to the drop bears!!
Call it like it is and this is just another amazing CRPG! It's this game and Pillars of Eternity 2 (POE2 ) just as an example always have these awesome dialogue scenes and characterization of all the companion, NPCs and narrators just ooze excellence! If you like games like Broken Roads you will enjoy POE2 as well as a plethora of other CRPGs that escape me at the moment.
Love it and I'd like to hear you cover more of it.
That was alot of dialog to read and in that deserves a thumbs up. there is only one other way to get parrot tongue but side effects may leave you hungry afterwards.

Most of our population centres are on the coast, so it would make sense it would just be run down country towns left in the desert.

I didn't like turn based until Baldurs Gate. Now, I'm well into it. You get into it pretty quick and have time to strategise and use every option.

@@NearlyH3adlessNick Im Aussie. The accent is accurate but the lines in the early part were delivered in a slow and deliberate way that felt weird for me. We talk pretty quickly.

My missus is a yank. She came here when she was 7 and couldn't understand us for nearly a year! Then, she still had to get the slang terms overtime, too.
I think it was intentional so players can get used to our accent, plus they have the extra translation feature (which I fuckin' laughed so hard at, BTW 🤣) to be able to get what's going on.
I do hope it gets a bit faster, especially during tense moments later on. I'm buying it this week, so I'll check lol
What are you on about? It was fine, if anything it reminded me of watching something like play school as a kid and the people on the show reading a story enthusiastically to some kids lol.

They did Fallout in Poland called Stalker and one in Russia called Metro
Probably because there are enough places in the world you wouldn't notice the difference between pre and post world war.
