#reaction #creed #rockybalboa - Zábava
I love how they made Ivan Drago, probably one of the most 2 dimensional character of the 80's into a character with so many layers ! The struggle with his wife and reputation, his relation with his son. Makes Rocky 4 better ! There is a deleted scene were Adonis and Viktor talk after the last fight, encouraging him, where everyone is kinda burying the hatchet...Never understood why the remove it ?!? Also that training montage...it would wake the dead and bring them to the gym...It's that good !!! One of the best one in the serie...i still prefer the one in Creed 3 but that one just hit right !
YES! That deleted scene between Adonis and Viktor should've been in the final cut of the movie. That scene actually shows major character growth for Adonis. As the movie is, his problem just seems like a bruised ego, and nothing more really. That deleted scene tho really crystalizes what the movie is (or should've been) about, which was stepping out of the father's shadow.
Creed 3 had one of the worst training montages wht u talking abt
@@aabevincent5601I have to agree with you on that one.
And for that he gets called a pathetic father from the normies lol
The blond 80s villains got ultimate redemption in the 2010s......no one more than Johnny Lawrence lol
Ivan Drago's actor in real life is some sort of genius it's freaking nuts.
Imagine him in a scientist role.
He has a PHD in chemical engineering. Hes was also a karate expert.
PhD and Karate Expert. He dropped out of MIT because he met Grace Jones and she wanted him to come on tour with her as her boyfriend.
Shit, it just came out that Dolph Lundgren has been battling cancer for the past 8 years! It was supposedly in remission in 2020, but it came back... But the tumors have been shrinking in the time since his second diagnosis. Dude's a warrior, for sure!
Dolph Lundren is pure Aryan. Unstoppable
That movie let me sympathize with the Dragos.
Viktor is such a tragic figure. His mother left him, it was not his fault. His Country despised him, it was not his fault. He was paying for the crime he never committed. His eyes always searching for the love of his father, not the glory not the fame. Everytime in the ring, after knocking someone down or landing a punch on Adonis, he looked at his father, only to look for the love.
Viktor Drago's actor was also in Shang Chi as razorfist.
And for this playing Viktor, they had to ask him to LOSE WEIGHT because he was a literal tank.
Also, there is a beautiful deleted scene between Viktor and Adonis after the final fight where they kinda come to show some respect for the other and end the cycle of hate; It is pretty small but man it is good.
Yeah. From my research, the guy was 6' 4" and 245 lbs when he was approached, and had to lose like 20 lbs for the movie.
@@walteralcaraz5898?!?? That’s him cut down?! Dude is real life bane
@@stevenhernandeznon-profitf968 Yeah. I was shocked he had to lose weight to get the part, that he was too big. LOL. His original size is like NFL LB size. Even some NFL SS and FB are that size. That is also about the same size as Derrick Henry, NFL RB for the Tennessee Titans (who is 6' 3" 247 lbs).
I like how they showcased Viktor Drago's trauma. You can see how much support Adonis had in his fight with Rocky, Bianca, Mary, etc. Meanwhile; Viktor had nobody. Then we see a great arc for Ivan Drago. I can only imagine the levels Viktor would be if he had a proper support system + Rocky.
Viktor had Ivan from the start. Ivan may have been hard on him but he is still a good enough father for Viktor to be so fiercely loyal to him.
@@wasabi5338 He did, but you can see how Ivan still values the approval of his country and ex-Wife at the expense of his son. Loss of dignity, lots of shame, etc. He still never had a support system. Viktor's sole purpose was training/fighting as Ivan wanted to redeem himself through his son. Rocky taught Creed to fight for himself. He gave him support; so did his girlfriend and mother. Viktor did not. That can take a toll on a man. We see at the end of the fight; Viktor's mum walks out and he loses all motivation to win or even concentrate. He see's people walking out on him constantly. And that's when Ivan throws in the towel realizing he valued external approval more than his son. Treating him like a robot instead of a human.
@@wasabi5338loyalty and fear often combine.
So sweet to see how emotional Rana got after that final fight.
It’s an emotional film!
In boxing, heavyweight is anything over 200lbs so they are technically the same weight class
There is also super heavyweight but its rare
Someone else who knows 👏🏾🤝🏾
there is no way adonis is 200 pounds. He is a light heavyweight at best. The movie writers forgot he was a light heavyweight in the last movie
@@naeemislam1105 Light heavyweight weight is 169-175lbs. At the beginning of this movie it said Donny was 215lbs; he's a heavyweight. Also you have to keep in mind that this is 3yrs after the Conlan fight so he's moved up in weight after becoming the light heavyweight champion off screen (which was confirmed in CREED 3 that he was the champ there also).
@@Ghost10_ no u missed my point. I said he doesn't look heavyweight. Looks the exact same weight. Very unrealistic movie
It's crazy when you look up how much of a real life badass Dolph Lundgren is.
I will always remember seeing the trailer for this movie in the theater. They did a great job of not showing who it was that was challenging Creed, then at the very end of the trailer Viktor turned around and you saw "Drago" written on his ring robe. As soon as that happened the entire theater freaked the fuck out. "DRAGO! HOLY SHIT!"
I was SO freakin' excited when I found out II was gonna be with Drago's son. Not so much when the rumors were going around that Creed III would have Clubber Lang's, LOL.
@Tanesha H. Same. Drago made story sense given what happened in Rocky 4. Clubber made no sense. It was time for Creed to move on and be its own thing.
@@stonecoldku4161 Yeah, that would have been lame AF and I'm so glad they didn't go in that direction.
@@taneshah.1260 You're so beautiful...
Stallone is credited as a producer for Creed 3. He prob just wasn't hands on and didn't have to do with the story. But he started the Universe and original characters, so his name is always going to be on it.
He left because he couldn't deal with the producer meddling anymore and he doesn't own the rights to the movies anymore which is upsetting for him.
Stallone's credit in "Creed III" is purely ornamental. He's said himself that he had nothing to do with the movie and he didn't get paid for it (usually, one gets paid when they have a credit) and even the last I heard from him, Stallone said he didn't have a producing credit on the film.
The only reason why he wasn't in Creed 3 is because he refuses to deal with Irwin Winkler.
@@marcusmcgill4423Sly had attempted to negotiate with Irvin Winkler for ownership of the Rocky Balboa character because he was hoping to produce a prequel film focusing on Rocky's teenage years, but Winkler wasn't having any of that. A docudrama focusing on the development and production of the original Rocky film is currently in development.
There's actually a deleted scene after the fight where Adonis reaches out to Ivan in the locker room. Empathising as someone who was also sacrificing who they were to chase a legacy. It's a beautiful scene and I wish they kept it in the film.
Loved your reaction. I admit I'm 44 years old and the scene where Stallone says it's your time and the Rocky theme kicks in makes me tear up every single time
This movie is so good. There’s an awesome deleted scene that shows Adonis and Viktor in a locker room which showcases the true end of the rivalry.
Everytime they mentioned the size difference i just thought about how much bigger the difference was between Drago and Rocky in Rocky IV 😂
“That stunt guy just got knocked out”. Well in the last movie MBJ did take a real punch from the actor who played Ricky Conlan (real life former professional boxer Tony Bellew) so I wouldn’t be surprised
LOL @15:56 “he raised bane” “oh you think Russia is your ally” 🤣
There was a deleted scene where the Dragos did come to hospital while Adonis was still recovering and ran into Rocky. Ivan and Rocky actually exchanged punches before hospital security broke it up.
There is another great deleted scene after the second fight where Adonis went and talked to Viktor in his dressing room. I'm so mad that they deleted that scene.
“I want them to shake hands.” While we don’t see any form of respect between Adonis and Viktor, you guys should look up a deleted scene, where the two have a bit of a heart-to-heart after the match. It’s a really great scene that acts as a real punctuation on the Creed/Drago feud, as well as Rocky settling his feud with Ivan. I honestly hate that they left the scene out. Should’ve been in the Final Cut. Interestingly, while I like this movie, I still preferred the first one. I actually found the first one more emotional. The second one had potential, but I think the drama is too surface level, without delving as much into it, in comparison to first one, where the narrative drive was getting to him admitting that he wants to prove he’s not a mistake. The second one, was just a semi “revenge”’movie, where nothing was really avenged lol. Still tho. Enjoyed it.
Disagree
@@jonreese7066The end, you see Ivan and Viktor jogging together. But I’m talking about a scene where Adonis and Viktor actually speak to each other after the big fight.
I don’t know if has been mentioned before but the woman who plays Drago’s wife is stallone’s ex-wife, Bridgette Nielsen. They were married during part 4, I believe. Back in the day he tried to help her career. Eddie Murphy said that he put her in Beverly Hills 2 because Stallone asked him. Eddie also said that Stallone later accused him of sleeping with her.
She probably did. She slept with everyone else in Hollywood.
Check out a deleted scene where they subtly bury the hatchet...
I honestly cannot believe they cut that scene out.
33:42 Great reaction, but I hate when CZcamsrs say this both these men are human, blood, nerves, and tissue. No matter how big a person is, as long as you come into the fight with the right strategy you can win.
Eh, that's a bit of a simplification. A good bantamweight probably isn't beating a good heavyweight. There's no bantamweight or flyweight in the history of boxing that would beat a prime Roy Jones Jr or prime Mike Tyson. Weight classes exist for a reason.
@@robertcampbell8070 you’re exaggerating tremendously they both were over the 200-pound weight limit, which is heavyweight in pretty much all combat sports. Secondly, no combat sports organization would ever sanction a 120 lbs -130 lbs against a light heavyweight champion/heavyweight fighter. not to mention there are literally hundreds of fights where the smaller guy/girl won. I kind of get what you’re saying, but this smaller opponent myth is completely outdated.
That’s because you’re probably a fighter. most people who've never thrown a legit punch in their life wouldn’t understand this type of dynamic.
Same😂 I feel like people who say stuff like this will let a bigger guy or woman smack their kid right in front of them
I feel you, but you have to remember people who are not fighters don’t understand the fight game. Like this whole reaction they were criticizing Buddy, the promoter, when in all actuality, he was just doing his job. The ironic part is if they didn’t see the behind-the-scenes stuff of the boxer's personal life, they( just like everybody else ) would have bought into the hype of this fight.
"This is like when that one dude fought Goro" 😂😂😂
I'm here after Carl Weather's passing just last week....What an icon
It all started with a joke after the success of the first film.
"So what's next, is Adonis gonna fight the son of Ivan Drago?"
Seriously.
This was what people were saying at the time.
So Stallone (one of the producers/writers) decided that the sequel would show us just that and we as the fans just ate it up.
It was a joke that became gold and it actually worked.
Defining performances by all of the cast including Dolph Lundgren as Drago..
The gut punches (literally and figuratively) of this sequel are incredible.
Can't forget that MBJ truly showed out as Adonis Creed.
But Stallone as Rocky for one last time is very exceptional.
Ivan and Viktor give out Broly and Paragus vibes.
Michael B Jordan is a weeb it checks out 😂
“Call in a bomb threat Rocky”😂😂
creed 3 is SO good, i can't wait to your guys to see it
I still maintain that Buddy Marcelle should have been named John Adams Duke.
The true villain!
Loved this reaction! Hope y’all do the next one it’s amazing as well and the camera work just gets better!
"Who's Dr Ago?" legit made me do a spit take... that's the funniest thing any of you have said on this channel!!!!!!!
47:14
I love how every member appreciates the entrances in these movies 🎥🥊🎶🔥
No Apollo didn't want Rocky to throw in the towel...NO MATTER WHAT
38:41 I saw this in the theatre.
.
Best scene in the movie for the pure emotion of it.
Russell Hornsby (Buddy) is a nice dude.....been watching him in shows for years..... met him at my job earlier this year.
I remember Russell Hornsby from the show "Lincoln Heights".
When I saw Drago's decision at the end, it blew my mind. But when I saw little baby Adrian, I burst into tears... 😅😍😭
I think The Normies would really really enjoy the two Gremlins movies.
Finally, my favorite reaction group watched my favorite Creed movie ❤❤❤❤❤
Rana's Reaction at the end was everything 😊
Buddy by no means is a good person, grimy as all hell, but his goal was never to take down Donnie or get him killed. He's a guy who sees that Boxing isn't anywhere near as popular as it was when people like Ali or even Rocky were boxing, so he sees Creed v. Drago as the fight that will break into the mainstream, make it something popular again. It's why he was satisfied at the end, he didn't care if Drago won, he's got the whole world watching, ultimately he got his goal
I love that they made Creed 2 feel more like a true sequel to Rocky 4.
45:38 is one of my favorite shots of any Rocky training montage
Imagine how much of a beast viktor could/would've been if he was actually happy/loved/enjoyed boxing. He was that good doing it just to impress/make his dad happy.
@The Normies Florian Munteanu was a boxer turned actor.
57:18
Bittersweet seeing that now....
Ayyyo Pat Be wildin sometimes outta nowhere I love it
I’d be down for a Viktor Drago movie.
43:36 THIS!! This right here is probably the greatest montage in the history of montages!!!
pleas watch warrior with tom hardy, closest movie to a rocky franchise
Terrific reaction guys.
I don’t know if you guys remember but the guy that plays Viktor Drago is also Razorfist in Shang-Chi
In the 70s, drinking eggs was a fitness thing I sort of vaguely remember.
Ludwig Goransson and Ryan Coogler met in college and they have worked together on all of Coogler's movies.
Anybody else catch the quick flash "not a market substitute" cut at 20:03?
If you like the Rocky/Creed franchise then please consider eventually reacting to Karate Kid and Cobra Kai as it’s also super cool.
Yes please, similar vibes.
@The Normies There is a deleted scene of Adonis and Viktor in the locker room where they have their respect moment.
Its Razorfist from Shang-Chi. The kids from Harry Potter are a lot older nowadays, there's definitely a gap in age between the two actors. At least 6 years apart
I love how during the 2nd fight Rocky was talking about potentially stopping the fight and obviously Creed doesn't want it. He's starting to realize why Rocky made the decision he did with his father. Apollo begged Rocky not to stop the fight and now after blaming Rocky for his fathers death, he comes to understand from his fathers side as a fighter as well as putting Rocky in the same position.
*raises hand* I had kidney failure when I was 5. I pissed blood and it didn't hurt. Mom rushed me to hospital, they sent me back home. Next day doctor was like "Whats he doing right now? Playing video games?! Calmly get him to the ER right now, our lab work says he should be in a coma and we don't know why he isn't".. didn't hurt at all, lost loads of blood.. but that was Kidney failure, not a ruptured kidney from being hit by a brick shit-house.
Y'all are LOYAL!
I haven't read it yet, but there's a Creed comic book and I think his daughter features prominently in it.
Seeing Ivan Drago on the Rocky steps feels like such an intrusion, like "You don't belong there, you bastard!"
Got to check out the deleted scenes, Spiders funeral and Creed and Drago jr have a convo.
In the rocky movies Stallone wanted for some shots to look real and actually want get hit and (I think) they would get hit back Even in the creed movies creed does gets hit in his movies too
ayy shoutout to Pat wearing the Giants jersey.
Btw, the director is Steven Caple Jr.
He's also director for Transformers:Rise of The Beasts(2023).
Dolph Lundgren is swedish, not german/austrian 😂
When he yelled "Creed!" I was reminded of Titus Pullo yelling "13th!"...If you know you know
The guy who played Viktor was also in Shang-Chi.
Ironically roy Jones lost a fight like that by hitting someone while they were technically down
Viktor Drago irl is a machine btw.
The weight is completely legal. They are fighting in heavyweight. Anyone above 200lbs is allowed
1:02:35 Dolph Lundgren was born in sweden, my goodness
22:26 No upper weight limit in the heavyweight division, so you could conceivably have a guy of about 220lbs against a guy of 250lbs!
Waited to see how long it would take for you guys realize Viktor Drago actor was Razorfist in Shang-Chi & it didn't happen.
Digging the Indy 11 representation!
One thing I really can't stand about Donnie is how he hits below the belt (no pun intended) when he's upset. That "at least you don't have worry about throwing in the towel this time" was cruel AF. In the first movie it was "you got my real family killed". He's lucky Rocky is so forgiving cuz I'd have been told him to kiss my ass.
Don't know how I missed it, but the doctor who treats Adonis in hospital was also in The Wire from seasons three to five.
He played a Democratic city councilman who went up against Royce and Carcetti for the mayoral election.
Drago’s kid is the blade arm guy in Shang-chi
I love the way Navi pronounces Russia 😅
Sly said he is going to be in Creed 4
I still don't mess with Ivan, but Viktor is such a fantastic character. You truly understand his sadness and his desire to do whatever he can to help his dad. I think this movie missed Ryan Coogler's direction in a lot of places, but this is still a fairly good movie.
I'm with you about still not messing with Ivan. He was still poppin' off and being disrespectful about Apollo. But I respect the character development with regards to Vicktor.
10:05 "The steroids took his voice!" BRUHHH. I don't know why that is so damn funny lmaoooo
" the baby gon fight next"
Me: 👀
The size difference is more realistic than people think. Once you get to heavyweight you get some pretty crazy differences in size. Just for example, there are currently two Heavyweight champions Fury and Usyk; Fury is 6'9'' and fights at like 280-300 lbs. Usyk is 6'3'' and fight around 250. That is a bigger gap than the actors in this movie.
I just CAN’T WAIT for Creed 3
I think it's pretty cool after this, Steven Caple Jr. would be signed on to direct the next transformers movie in the reboot series "Rise of the Beasts".
Just a neat fact
The actor playing Viktor Drago is a real boxer. And there's a deleted scene where Ivan Drago shows up at the hospital and him and Rocky fight.
If it's a Heavyweight fight, the weight/size difference is 100% legal. At a certain point, heavyweight just becomes like 200 lb and beyond. All same division.
You guys need to look up Brigette Nielsen (the actress who played Viktor's mom), very interesting tid bits....also, a lot of the training in ALL of the Rocky movies pay homage to Old Time Strongmen, who were fighters (in many styles incl. Catch Wrestling), showmen, and health enthusiasts (clean living, health regimens etc.)...raw eggs (now protein shakes), chasing chickens (now treadmills), no sex when training for a fight (now tantra, vitamins and gatorade)....but seriously, look up Brigette if you haven't already.
Ivan drago havin character development kinda wild isn’t it
Can’t wait to ur see creed 3
A fantastic and very consistent trilogy. I was very impressed with Michael B. Jordan's directing with the third movie.
30:16 Councilman Tony Gray
There’s a deleted scene of Adonis and Ivan making a truce with each other after the final fight, if y’all want to see it on your own time
Ok Navi! I see you with the Ari Lennox knowledge 👏🏿😁
@The Normies The reason why Stallone wasn't in Creed 3 is due to his beef with the producer Irwin Winkler. Sly stated that he wanted to be in it, but does not want to have anything to do with Winkler. He said he won't return if Winkler is still involved.
If you put a bunch of ice in the corner of the carpet and a little weight, let it melt it'll flatten out.
Yall wanna see dem respect eachother wait till yall see the new one
Viktor Drago is a real fighter irl and he is also a goon in Shang-Chi
