It's always nice to see John in a movie! Well time to binge watch the office for the 100th time!
Even without watching a movie i can say it's very touching. Margo's example just proves that have to spend more time with out parents until it's too late. Regarding the busyness and other aspects that we use as a point not to visit hometown and your parents, we are to remember that family is the most precious gift in the world.
No nominations, why? I just watched this, what a fantastic film, acting at its finest. The story is so true to life and families. I laughed and cried and laughed and cried, and cried afterwards :) Soundtrack by Josh Ritter is also awesome! A must see!!!!

im so happy that john krasinski made this type of movie, with all the constant reminder of violence and hate in the world and how dark hearted the world has become then having it replayed in cinema in film production its depressing, i mean c'mon even Batman and superman Heros! were made to be enemies.
Movies like this brings a little sunlight of hope and positivity in humanity and a great reminder that showing an ounce decency of selflessness can have a positive effect not just your life but the ppl around you especially towards the ones that matter the most to you is family.

I feel like I've already watched this film. It belongs to the category: "Indie low-budgety film where the main character is a white male who returns to his suburban small town during a family crisis (death/sickness of a family member) after living in the big city and reconnects with his first love who is married but going though difficulties in her marriage and his old mates who are still stuck on low paying mundane jobs in the same town."
You literally just described the film and this whole popular genre in a perfectly detailed nutshell. It's all the same bullshit. It's nice and sweet, but where's the genuine cinematic innovation and risks? You really do feel like you watched it because it's the same generic mush played over again. What happened to cinema? What happened to films being non-ironic? The 1970s films brimmed with this
Do you realize how many books are out in the world. Each story has characters and their own versions and visions. If you generalize every movie like that then of course it seems the same. Enjoy the characters these actors portray, feel the emotion they are giving us.
It has its own story with its own people.
