What kind of product description samples do I need to create before I apply to job boards?
Also for website copy, can I just create mock-up pieces for “FAQs page or Pricing page using a fictional brand?

Regarding a mock up sample for product description it's up to you. If you want to write for outdoor hiking companies or medical device companies then I would totally have a writing sample in those niches. But, if you don't care, then create a variety of product descriptions for gadgets, clothing, household items etc.. As for website copy, again, you can create whatever page you want to get paid for. If it's FAQ pages then sure, or team pages, etc..

Hi Jan! It's really up to you if you want to have a pricing page. For me, I like the freedom to set a price for each project then for a client to try fit their project with my pricing chart! It is common to charge a percentage upfront on large projects, but not for small one-off projects.

Transcribing CZcams videos is a cool gig for sure. I would starting looking at blogs that embed CZcams videos or go on YB to find people who also have a blog. From there you can see about pitching your services as a transcription writer.

Writers Work is just a job site that aggregates jobs. Once you find a job click on the ad and usually you will be sent to the original job ad. Follow the instructions and hopefully you'll speak or connect with the person hiring a writer! Typically at this point you do a Zoom meeting so everything is legit!

You are so awesome sauce! But I have really been having problems with finding gigs for my freelance writing.. I'm not going to give up or anything but it is getting a little bad now. And I am a very good writer and I can do any type of writing you want. I am really specialized in writing poems and articles. I’d like to add editing to my services. I’m great at rewriting to improve the tone & style of a piece (to make it attract & connect with the target reader) but I’m not good at editing for spelling or grammar. Sure, I can use Grammarly & other similar tools but those tools often miss a few things - and I’m not great at catching those - so how could I add editing services to what I offer while making it clear that I’m editing for tone, style & connecting to the audience - and not for spelling or grammar? What would that be called?
That's tricky! I would either promote yourself as an editor or proofreader and state what you do but know that businesses want you to edit their writing.
I believe grammar and spelling check is the baseline for editing. I offer editing services as a writer, and even when I'm editing for style or tone only, I often find grammar and spelling mistakes that have to be addressed. Also, it would be very awkward if your client ends up finding a glaring grammar mistake when you submit an "edited" version. So I'd say checking for grammar errors and misspellings is a no-brainer and a must.
My advice is to start practicing. And you'll find almost all grammar and style rules on the net.

Transcription is pretty hard grind. Even a trained transcriber may take 3-4 hours at minimum, to do an hour of audio.
That apart, AI has hit transcriptionists pretty hard in the sense that now they'll have to reinvent themselves as digital scopists, which, quite a few of them seem to be doing these days. Most of the typical transcription pack-drill these days is being taken care of by VR softwares, which surprisingly includes very accurate proof-reading as well.
Good to know! It's still worth it to go to businesses with a podcast or CZcams channel and let them know they can transcribe their podcast and turn it into an engaging post to help with repurposing content as well! There's lots of ways to spin this gig for sure!
@@ElnaWrites If you have good proofing and grammar skills then you can surely work on the podcasts, even with VR softwares.
However, transcription or digital scoping skills can be very helpful for content creators, as it can empower their productivity by at least a hundred percent.
The worst turn-off for any author or content creator is the dreary meat-stick or voice typing.
That's where digital scoping can do the trick, though the VR softwares are somewhat pricier to use.

I speak two languages though they asking for experience or certificate that testify that I can do the job. Hi Ray, job sites like Indeed or WeWorkRemotely will probably have transcription jobs so look there. Networking is key. If you see big CZcamsrs with a blog then offer your services to them! Hi, As long as you have an online home like social media or a portfolio on LinkedIn or Medium or Contently then you can source gigs on Writers Work. Most of the job ads want to see your writing so you need a link to show them!

Not sure what you mean or in what context? Usually I submit my article to my client and get paid that one time. To get paid multiple times I would have to publish this on my own blog, gain views for ads and do affiliate marketing!
