Yes Ive tried. But noone is gonna want to hire someone with no credentials.
I bought it months ago and only used it a couple times, until I got inundated with job opportunities. So, thank you! You’ve inspired me to open it back up and pitch to some paying clients! ❤️😉
Thanks so much!

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me!
I started following you because I want to get into freelance writing. Both my friend and I majored in journalism and after years working other types of jobs, we're both trying to write professionally. I've shared some of your videos, Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for making this! It is so hard to know these days what is and isn't a scam. I am so excited to check this out. Such a thorough and generous video.
Hi Grace! I know what you mean. I feel though, Writers Work is legit and helpful to new freelance writers! Have fun exploring their job board!
Any update on it?
Do you still use it?
I'm going to give this platform a try. I write a lot. However, I'm not a professional just a college student who enjoy writing.
Sounds good! You can use it and help you make money!
Thank you for sharing. I'm 100% beginner, never done any writing for anyone before. I do however, feel more confident trying them out now with your post of positive feedback and experience with them however, I didn't understand the job posts of 2yrs ago. I hope there are current jobs available!
Yes, the jobs on Writers Work are up-do-date (week by week) and they do post fresh jobs a lot!
Thank you so much for this review! I wasn't sure it was even legit. I will give it a try now. There is 30 day money back guarantee too!
I thought it was totally a scam too LOL but I can't wait to start now!
It feels so overwhelming at first. But I don't want to give up. Thank you so much for the video!

Louis did you end up signing up for writerswork? If so how has your experience been?
Thanks Elna. I was considering Writer's Work after I looked at them. I'm definitely going to join after hearing your endorsement.

I’m an architect but I do love writing, of course I’ve never done it professionally but after watching their welcome video and this review I feel like I should definitely give it a try. Do you think it would be a good match for me?
did u give it a try?
As long as you love writing, it should be a good match, shoot your shot yall
Soo cool! I'm sold. Thanks Elna. I'd love if u did a video about Grammarly too :)! I'm definitely investing in writers work tho!
Oh thanks! Yea I might do that too!
How did it go?
Hi Elna! Your video was very informative and it piqued my interest to do more research on this potential career path. I'm a full time mom and work part time but I need something to supplement my income because you know....the economy and stuff, so I'm hoping this will be a good side hustle that could lead to something extraordinary!
Glad it was helpful! I love writing and getting paid to write! I still do this as a side hustle and it's awesome! No shortage of work :-) If you need more help just contact me on my site!
Thanks for the shout out, Elna!
No problem!
As someone who has a great interest in writing and looking at freelance, I found this to be very helpful in finding a good place to start. Writers Work appears to be the best website for writers out there. Thank you for this Elna.
Great to hear!
Super helpful tips, Elna, as always. I have to admit that this has piqued my interest as I've always enjoyed writing and blogging.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much!
Elna, great video! You made me a believer, I'm going over to sign up today.
That's great to hear! Enjoy the job board, setting up your profile and using their Academy lessons!
Hey Darrel! looking to sign up as well, how has it been going the past few weeks?
What you say makes sense, Elna.
Another super helpful video! If I’m just getting started, and wanted to start with job boards, and I join Writers Work - should I also check other job boards, like the Problogger Job Board - or is this enough because it aggregates jobs from many sources? Or Are there a few other job boards that you would check, in addition to Writers Work?
Hey Sarah, sure you can try the free job boards and paid ones like Writers Work. There will be pros and cons to using both! I like Writers Work as there will be jobs from Writer Work that isn't on Problogger and it's a platform to build your portfolio too as well as having paid submissions. So there are many benefits to using Writers Work. But try Problogger, Blogging Pro, Freelance Writing and other free job boards first!
Great video I have been looking into this to supplement for some additional cash. I watched a video where you mentioned podcast transcription, I used to be a medical transcriptionist and this grabbed my attention. I’m very interested in pursuing that. Does writers work have this as a type of job a person could “apply” for?
Hi, Writers Work has a lot of copywriting jobs, beginner entry jobs and content writing jobs. Transcription jobs may not be there as much as other types. This is true for all other freelance writing job boards like Contena, Pro Blogger, Blogging Pro etc..
The one paid job board I actually had the cash for. 💲💲💲💸💸💸🤑🤑🤑
Awesome! Glad you enjoy Writers Work! I love it too!
Very helpful review.
What is the $47 fee for? That's what always stops me from trying this out.
Writer's Work is a paid job board. The $47 allows you access for the year to source gigs, gain training and have a profile. This is one of the cheaper paid job sites to have!
@@ElnaWrites Oh, okay. Thank you for the reply!
They have to make something off of it or how will they stay operational?
Considering they advertise not taking any of your pay, I guess that’s the compromise. I’m happy to pay 50 dollars if it means I get 100% of my pay
I'm worried because of their rating on the BBB. Should I be?
On average, how do you find the ratio of sending your pitches to landing the gig? I'm a freelancer as well (another trade) and was inquiring about another means of supplemental income that has flexbility. However if the competition is saturated and the likelihood of landing a gig is one out every hundred; lets say, I don't know if I'd want to invest that much time and effort.
I haven't sent any pitches in a while since clients come to me but back in the day it's not unusual to send hundreds before you hear back. There are cases where one or the third pitch lands a gig. I would focus on job board pitching for a month as well as cold pitching! Good luck!
I have a question so what if you write for them and they decide not to use your work will it be you did it all for nothing ?
Please let me know because I am seriously thinking about this
1/25/22 Viewing; loved it!
Glad to hear!
Hi Elna, thanks for the video. I've clicked on the link to add a portfolio piece, and have done so with no problems...except that I'm not seeing a way to SAVE my submission. There's something at the top of that page, but it takes me back to where I was and I lose my work. The only other visible icon is intended to start a chat. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jim
Hi! I'm sorry you are having problems. I would definitely ask support!
I'm curious if there are platforms to find writing gigs in other languages?
If you have never done writing before, HOW do you build up a portfolio? NO ONE is going to hire me if I have nothing to show them right? Hmmm
The best way is to write on spec samples. So you would find topics in your niche and write a blog post or do whatever the content you want to get paid for (landing page, sales page). I do have a video on this process: czcams.com/video/Ky0NqhJLlts/video.html
They have a grade of F on BBB with many customer complaints do you think they deserve this grade?
Personally, no. All the jobs are legit and their academy has great lessons. I also like their document editor!
I paid the $47 and have been browsing the website and I am so confused. I don't get it. Am supposed to think of my own subject and just write and submit it? Are there assignments somewhere on the site.? I'm a former English teacher and I feel so stupid. I don 't get it, what am I missing here. I don't have any clients yet. And thanks for a great video Elena. Carol
Think of this as a job section in the newspaper. They are ads for jobs so you have to click on a job ad and see how to apply to that job. Writer's Work doesn't pay you they just supply the job.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I am new. How do Pitch? I clicked on pitch it takes you only to a website. I clicked on Jobs, but they all take you to indeed to create an account. can you do a step-by-step to anwser my questions.
I have a video on how to pitch if you need more help! czcams.com/video/NAibrV79phI/video.html
Do you have to write through the app or can you use word etc.?
Hello, I'm a Venezuelan citizen and I currently live in Jordan. Is Writers Work available for writers in other countries with different nationalities?
Hi! Yes, Writer's Work is for online writers!
Hey. How do you get paid for doing this? I’m a beginner. Is it similar to a paycheck?
When you do find a writing job with this job board (Writers Work), you work with the company. They may pay per project or they may want recurring content. So you have to read the job ad when you apply and it would usually tell you.
What is the registration process? Is the payment necessary given I'm just starting out.
They have a pricing page you can use!
🙂Hi Elna, would you say that Writer's Work is Highly Saturated / Highly Competitive?
Hi! It's a job board with jobs so you want to have a lot of jobs on that board, right? As for competitive, that's based on the job that's on the board. Some might be! Writer's Work is a job board that sources jobs from all around so instead of spending hours going to 20+ job sites to find these jobs, you just go to one place - Writer's Work!
Hi how do we get taxed for this?
Hi if you are not a writer can you still get hired by them and do they train you to be a writer? If they do train you do you get paid when getting paid or do you have to pay them for they can train you thank you 😊
Writer's work isn't a training platform. It's a job board and you have to pitch to those jobs to land a gig. Part of pitching is proving your writing skills, so if you don't feel you are the best writer, I would practice writing every day. Get onto Medium or start a blog and write and research and read other people's blog posts to get an idea of how to write for an online audience. This is exactly what I did to get to where I'm here today! Maybe this post will help you: elnacain.com/blog/writing-tips/
Do I need to pay a fee to sign up as a writer on Writers Work?
This is a premium job board where you do pay the one time fee of $49 to have access to the job board, their University curriculum, a place to create a profile and much more!
hello i'm thinking about signing up; is it for people outside the United States?
I'm sure it's for anyone online in any country...the jobs are online so it's not just for Americans!
Thanks for this video! How do you PITCH for a job? What do you mean by that?
I do have a video on how to pitch if you need help! czcams.com/video/NAibrV79phI/video.html
If you're just starting out, how hard or easy is it to land a job? That's what I'm nervous about, that to get somebody to pay me for never having had experience. Once you do get jobs, how consistent is it to get jobs? Is it actually weekly? I'd like to join if it can be a possible good part-time/full-time job and not just a lot of auditions. Thanks so much, I know a lot of questions but I do want to join if it is worthwhile:)
Writers Work is a job board only. It doesn't hire you to write consistent content. You have to pitch to the job and the company will tell you if they need weekly content from you or just a one off project. To get a client you do need to prove to them you can write so having a writing sample is important. Here's my post on writing your sample: elnacain.com/blog/writing-sample/
@@ElnaWrites Thank you so much, this helped a lot👍
Do you think it is worth it to invest in the Pro option?
I don't think so but haven't heard of a Pro plan. Just pay the one time fee of $49 and you have access for life! That's what I did!
When you are setting up you profile and must upload your work or skills, but you haven’t written since college. What do you do?
Try it what do you have to lose.

Are there many journalism/news style writing jobs available on writers work?
Yes, there is a mix I find!
what if im a song writer? Can I still be supported by writerswork?
Hi Shamal, I honestly don't know if they post song writing jobs on these job boards. I haven't seen any on the free job boards so it makes me suspect there aren't many song writing companies using job sites.
just a question, when you used this platform for the first time, you've written contents for the companies using your own words?
Writers Work has a writing platform so I may initially write an outline or content idea/intro and then move it to MS word or G docs as my clients prefer getting those submissions.
Why are there so many reviews stating that this site is a scam?
For many people they want to know that questions so bloggers use "scam" in their headline to attract readers. I use that and "legit" too.
@ElnaWrites I joined Writers Work, but they have basically no freelance jobs. They give you links to jobs on Indeed but I'm not really seeing where the jobs are that require just an article is needed or something like that.
It just seems from your video there are hundreds of per article jobs but I get none when I sort like you did
Writers Works curates jobs from all over online. Some come from Indeed, some come from Problogger and some come from career pages and still others come from other platforms. It's a faster way to check all the gigs online.
But, How is this different from Fiverr and other freelance sites? The only thing I see that it's based on same idea like everyone else, just this case it's just about copywriting.... The already made experts and top sellers will get jobs all the time and the new beginners will just keep applying but not get anything. :333 and they also get their share ahead of them, so, it's a win win for them??
Writers Work is a job site while Fiverr is a freelance platform. With Writers Work you check the jobs and apply. For the jobs posted on Writers Work, they do have entry level jobs for beginners but it doesn't hurt to apply to the better copywriting gigs. If you show yourself as credible online and have stellar samples and you have a great pitch you can land that gig!
Is this a good platform for aspiring writers with no experience?
Yup! It's a good platform for new writers!
Is the fee per year?
You just pay once!
Do you need experience?
The jobs listed vary from entry level to more skills needed. So you will have to check but you can definitely find a writing job for a newbie on this job board!
@@ElnaWrites WOW SERIOUSLY!?
So you only get paid if your work is accepted?
If you see a job ad on Writer's Work, you click on it and read the requirements. The job ad may say to click on the form and fill it or an email address to send your pitch and info to. If they reply and hire you then you two decide on the rates and type of content and frequency and how they pay. I hope that helps!
@@ElnaWrites It does..Thanks.
