-And yes, all of this IS Possible, I had a run on stream where I made it to hush on the very first run, remember this is a week of us testing, I doubt we missed anything glaring

Theres a super secret room that spawns bone hearts even before theyre unlocked, but i guess that would take even more rng
i think we are way past the point of rng
same thing for rotten hearts or whatever they're called

Something interesting I just saw on the Isaac wiki: If you unlock Black Sacks via Tainted Judas, they can actually spawn bone hearts even if The Forgotten hasn't been unlocked yet!
dont think thats useful as tainted cain and isaac are needed anyway for the forgotten unlock. swapping out isaac for judas as the second tainted char wouldnt actually help.
@@borisvanderhof8952 Maybe you could get three characters unlocked in the first Home/ascension run via the hard-crash and a Clicker with two charges via Battery, Battery Bum, or a 48-Hour Energy pill?

Just a heads up: the Faded Polaroid, Broken Padlock, and the Sharp Key all open the door to The Ascension (and none need unlocks), so 5 satan kills aren't necessarily needed to get the negative for the strange door
right, but the negative is a safer option to have unlocked in case a tick shows up :p
@@bd1pLP That's fair, but also Matchbook guarantees Match Stick now, which always removes the tick as a backup. SO while negative is more safe and secure (certainly), it's possible to just ignore it if the run allows you to find one of the aforementioned items and shove them onto a co-op friend
Fun fact: Tainted Lost still mentions No Mantle even if you haven’t unlocked it for the Lost
A player without the mantle on Lost could interpret it as "you can't find Holy Mantle", which is true
it started as a fun video and now he discovered the best glitch for speedrunners (mom cutscene skip)

For future reference if you have photoshop, you take the sprites of items and increase the image size with the setting "nearest neighbor". Makes it so sprites don't look blurry. Much love.

Just a prop for future videos, having 90% of the video be a blurry run is messing with my head, I know it takes longer to edit but I would appreciate if the screen unblurred when you are not going to show anything for a while, it hurts to watch blurry, other than that great video 💙

*I must add that as Tainted Cain you need to have less than 8 passives, as switching to Tainted Isaac while having more items than your inventory space confuses the game and crashes it.

You don't need to kill Satan 5 times for the ascent. The broken padlock unlocks the Acension door too.

The pause and exit run can come in handy when starting a new save file so now I can continue past mom where it would end the run a huge thanks to you and the discord server for finding this.
This is not fair so you better do not use this on normal savefile. Please play the game as its creator intended

Disgustingly underrated channel.
I would think one of the biggest problems with getting diplopia in the shop is that if you start a brand new save file, your shops will be level 1 and would require a game breaking amount of coins donated to have a decent chance of finding diplopia
yeah we acknowledges this in video one and knew it would be an issue, but because the shop is super unsaturated it’s not that bad, in the last 6 hours we’ve found 4 diplo seeds on floor one

About the crafting recipes, no, the r key doesn't need bone hearts. Each item has 50 thousand random recipes, the wiki and the platinumgod tool only show you a handful of the most convenient ones.
Can we get someone who’s proficient in tas software to make this run happen
definitely not a tas there is only one precise skip, what we need is a seed finder
@@bd1pLP Theoretically, a tas would still make it a whole bunch easier because there's probably SOME program out there that looks at the RNG for the current seed in Lua. Not sure since I'm mostly knowledgeable in oldschool stuff like the NES when it comes to tas runs, but if you were to find the current RNG seed stuff, then I'm pretty sure it could be possible to find a seed like that easily since we know how items spawn.
surely rng could be reduced heavily by red key room diving to fish for more things!

Minor request, when you make videos like this in the future, can you try to avoid having just blurred gameplay on for such long periods of time? Either it not being blurred or having something on top of it would have been good, but it was blurred with nothing on it for a long time my eyes started to hurt lol
So while you think opening all achievements is job for sick people, turns out wicked minds coming up with ways how to open most characters at once in first run. That deserves a like.

Also you can drop the golden razor with the butter trinket saving the clicker use

EDIT: If Death Certificate wasn't already a nightmare to get on a NORMAL save and didn't ALREADY require every character be unlocked anyways, it would've been super helpful. Just imagine the possibilities.

The hard crash thing might still work if you alt-f4 while going down the trap door after beating moms hearts. I'd assume it would count and then put you back to the start of that floor, but I'm not sure

Hey man! I really love the video and format...
But the blur effect over the gameplay is really hard to look at. Even if the gameplay isn't directly related to what you are talking about, you won't confuse people by leaving the footage unblurred. I see you've made a lot of videos, so I'm not questioning your clear competence, but I would recommend only blurring the footage when putting elements in front of the background footage, otherwise, you can leave it unblurred.
I have to say though, the structure and story telling is on-point, absolute perfection, so keep up the great work. Can't wait to see the next video! :)

I've had secret rooms that have had the greed donation machine in it. That might help unlock keeper
If you beat Mega Satan to unlock Apollyon, then unlock Tainted Apollyon and beat the Beast with him, you'll unlock Echo Chamber.
You could theoretically do this in one run if you get incredibly lucky with R Key and Clicker.
Echo Chamber 'remembers' every card you've used since picking it up, and re-uses all of them at once whenever you use any card.
So if you use it with ? Card and Schoolbag/R Key/Clicker, you effectively get to reset your run *and* switch characters for free whenever you see a card, since it'll give you infinite ? Card reuses.
I'm pretty sure you could technically use that combo to not only unlock every other character in the game, but also complete every mark for every character on the same run.
And like I said, this could potentially even be your very first run, assuming luck is in your favour to an impossible degree.

I love theory crafting like this for anyone curious of the odds of finding this one exact needed seed, without taking into account random chance for things like soul hearts dropping or coins etc. etc. We have 26 letters, 10 possible number digits (making 36) in an 8 digit combination numbers & digits can repeat meaning we go 36^8 or roughly a 1 in ~2.82 trillion chance. My isnt math fun. :)
no there’s only 4 billion seeds roughly, there’s a 32 bit integer limit and we also can’t use U, V, O, and I or something like that, it’s somewhere in the second vid
BTW just so you know, you can get bone hearts from black sacks even if you haven't unlocked bone hearts.

Very comprehensive and interesting! My only problem with this video is the second half, cause there's not many visualisations and I can't really follow what you're saying. It's not like I'm planning to run this insane shit but if there were some pictures to match the words it would make it a bit easier to follow.
While the odds are far less likely, there is another possible way to get a greed mode thing in play, that doesn't end the run, because unlocking TMTRAINER would kill the run because killing the beast does. The corrupted data achievement also causes secret room and error room items to have a chance to be glitched as if under the effect of TMTRAINER. Corrupted Data is unlocked by beating Delirium with Tainted Eden, which doesn't end the run.
This is like the minecraft png seed hunt but for the isaac community, good job
Always remember . . . You may have gotten the seed and never known it, especially if it was when you first started playing and lost to first floor over and over
You actually don't need to be accurate with the skip, just watch the cutscene and then press continue, it should be there but u have to fight mom again

Also, you can get bone hearts easily by spawning any item in a secret room with Tainted Cain. The drops depends on the secret room tho, per example, if you're in that super secret room where it spawns a lot of hearts, the items will drop a lot of hearts. Though, regular secret rooms drop bone hearts. I used this with the Alabaster Box exploit to get Rock Bottom.

I'm actually pretty sure that using R Key during the Ascent just puts you at Basement 1 Ascent, instead of Basement 1 Descent. Not sure, but it's what I heard from a friend and on the wiki.

You'd get the Tainted Cain unlock by Clicker changing Isaac into Cain, but even after you unlock a Tainted character the Clicker will only allow Tainted characters to switch into other Tainted characters and non-tainteds to non-tainteds. Would one of the other players be Tainted Cain?
i think you'd use r key and join with another player as a tainted character
man, can you freaking put some more visual representation of what you're saying, or at least unblur the run that you put in there, it was a good video but that's really annoying

Can't you unlock tainted Lilith and Keeper without having them unlocked using Clicker? On one of my very first Repentance runs, I found Clicker and got to finish with Blue Baby before unlocking It Lives

fun fact: you can unlock glitched items specifically in secret rooms. I forget the unlock, but it's either with Eden or Tainted Eden.
While held, removes the twenty-minute time limit on the Boss Rush door. this is what it says on the wiki about the broken shovel... so you can get forgotten without the spindown dice
watch the video, the issue is getting the shovel in the first place. you have to beat the first floor boss in under a minute

If ultra greed can spawn From TMTrainer, that means Liliith can be unlocked (assuming the game makes it so you completed a mark)
So if keeper and Lilith can both get unlocked, all 34 characters can theoretically be unlocked in your very first run.
It's just an assumption. It needs testing and time. But if possible you can unlock all of them. I don't know if Ultra Greed can spawn from TMTrainer. But what i'm sure about is that the greed donation machine can be spawned from it.
It is possible to spawn greed from TMTrainer but it still wont give you greed unlock so it is pointless
