If O'Reilly was being sold by an English premiership club , he would be sold for 40 million plus. Time for Celtic to do business like a big club.
Scotland is like shopping at Poundland. You can't expect or rely on it being a quality product.
There's an inherent risk in buying a player from Scotland because it isn't clear if they can step up to a higher level.
A player in England is already proven at a higher level, hence the higher price tag.
I'll agree that many players in England are overrated and over priced, but there's a good reason that Scottish based players cannot reach the same premium.

The trouble is 99% of his games are against crap like St Mirren, Ross County, Dundee etc. If he doesn't stand out in those games consistently, and he hasn't, what chance has he against far better teams?

Im a Luton and Celtic fan and although id be gutted if Luton sell players this season there are 3 players who i think would be great for Celtic....Kaminski the keeper .Doughty at left back and Ross Barkley as a replacement for O'Riley should he go.

Big Southampton keeper is 34 however if Liverpool and Newcastle are interested he must be doing well . Good keepers can easily play to 38 in the modern game . McGregor was 39 before you seen a real drop off so could be a very wise move

Matt O'Riley is an Arsenal fit all day.
O'Riley stays idc, he's been nothing but a hero this season for us, even if he does go who's gonna replace him, we need a big transfer window this summer we've lost to much in our midfield lately, O'Riley possibly leaving now and I dare say Turnbull idc what anyone says but I'm one of the fewer people who actually did like Turnbull he had the confidence to go for longshots and was a decent player, he moves to Cardiff and he's shite now, O'Riley if he does leave he's just gonna be a bench warmer if he's joining English football because you know what they're like, I'd say give O'Riley one more season and see how it goes 🍀🍀
If were serious about our trading model, we need to sell o'riley in the summer, and I think we will.
Just hope he gets a move to a top tier club, he fully deserves it, he had a blip after January but has since been brilliant, especially in the 2 games against the huns. Best of luck to the beautiful bastard

Quite a lot of those English premier league teams have paid out 30-40 million for utter trash. We hold all the aces here. The price for our player of the year should be £40.000.000 or he stays. We have in the past let players go for way below market value. In the case of Matt O'Reilly it should be pay up or shut up as we need our top players to win our league again and negotiate the new format champions league. This is way more important than some other team trying to steal our players at our expense.
Doubt it will be spurs, after matt had a few digs at Ange after he left. Doubt either would want to work with each other again.

@@kaikelly1120 It was middle of season, and that isn't exactly what happened, they offered to take him on loan and then buy him at the end of the season for 20m, so he'll go in summer for somewhere around that 16-20 mark.
