So... i wanted to wait til it was free and then today i won a giveaway and won the 70€ version. i'm still shocked, i'm so happy
This game is loterally everything everyone wanted and asked for in ACNH, but Disney themed. I never preorder any games as a general rule. But I broke it for DLV. I haven't regretted it a single time. The only thing I regret is not getting one of the bigger founders packs.
There will be tonnes of cosmetics coming so I wouldn't worry :D

This is totally how I feel except I found out about release - after it was released! What kind of fan am I? :( I'm planning to go Ultimate even though I have literally never done that for any game ever.
@@KatyRoseG get it! That’s the one I preordered and have no regrets. I bet all the packs are great but I love anything Royal/regal themed and was able to decorate my house pretty well to start out with.

I'm obsessed with this game, and my issue is truly personal however I sincerely hope the devs take this into consideration..
Like many others, I have epilepsy and unfortunately due to the storms looking like a line of photographers on the red carpet, I have to sit out the storms entirely. Which can take a hot minute sometimes.
I'm hoping they'll add a sensitivity option so we can turn off or tone down the lightning for those of us sensitive.
The rest of this game is *literally* perfect and it consumes my thoughts throughout the day 😅
Can I ask if you have the game on PC or switch because I was planning on getting it for switch and I have epilepsy as well? And just from experience try turning down the brightness on your game that may help.

@@thecapableplanet7885 I have epilepsy also but mine isn't to severe and I am lucky mine isn't brought on by flashing lights my is brought on by stress. I agree they should add setting for people that have photo sensitive issues. So it won't cause discomfort.
@@lisaray1112 my seizures are bad enough to the point that I can’t drive I don’t really have Grand mall seizures anymore but I still have those petty mall/absent seizures from time to time but video games is one of my passions so I’m always looking for ways to minimize discomfort.
@@thecapableplanet7885 my sezures are pretty much control by my sezure medication . When I do have sezures I just throw up have really bad back aches and I have black outs. I don't drive because I wouldn't do very well under that kind of pressure. I know this one that has them really bad hers are so bad she had to have brain surgery so they could put device in her brain to monitor the seizures.
for someone who isn't obsessed with disney (aka me) it still is such a beautiful game and so fun to play! im loving finding the characters i do love and know and im excited to see where the game goes!
Same here not a massive Disney fan but am really enjoying this game. Few weird glitches but nothing i cant live with. And I’m a sucker for a good character creator. 😆
Seriously, I had 0 intention of getting this game but after playing Ooblets and seeing how similar this game was to the lifestyle, I caved and I am honestly enjoying it. Yea it's a bit laggy and the loading screens are a bit annoying but it's just so relaxing and fun and the characters are so pleasant. I highly recommend

Honestly same, I had zero intentions of enjoying this game. But I adore Ooblets, ACNH, Stardew and now I'm wanting this game b a d .
It’s so fun! I have the ultimate on switch and have no regrets getting it. For me the lagging is minimal so it doesn’t really bother me. I also make sure to save a little more frequently just in case of a glitch but I’m having a ton of fun with it right now.
@@alise3076 me too! I just bought the standard since I don't care for the cosmetics. I love the quests and there's so much to do. I already completely redecorated the plaza

I'm loving this game. I have it on my Switch Lite and while the menus are slow the game is really fun. I also picked up the same white flower dress and my vibe for the game is going to be ballgowns and no shoes, reliving my childhood with no complaints.
I found the patch made them slightly better but still not perfect!

Great review. I've found this game nearly impossible to put down since grabbing it yesterday. It's just. so. good! Also, I loved your YT stream yesterday. I've caught you on Twitch a few times, but honestly YT is where I spend most of my internet time, so it's just more convenient for me personally. I totally get why streamers tend to prefer Twitch, and I def plan to catch you there whenever I remember to check, but I really love that you're considering the occasional stream here, too. I bought the ultimate bundle. I love it so far. Figure for the gameplay it's no different than if I bought a triple a game and I'm getting a lot out of it so far and can't wait to see what it's become. It seems like they really listened to what the AC community wanted and did that; I LOVE bulk crafting 😂
I love this game! I play it on pc, It’s free on game pass right now. I also discovered you can edit the entire town. The trees, those ugly barrels in front of your house, all of it can be moved when placing furniture so I moved all my apple trees to one spot. I’m having a lot of fun with it!
I have it on my ps5 and I’m obsessed. 17 hours in and I have Wall•E on my island and I’m so happy 😭 I got the ultimate edition because I have zero self control 😅 I’m wondering why nobody has compared it to Grow Song of the Evertree yet!! It’s so much like it!
I’ve completely ignored this game and was so surprised to see some streamers play it and I fell in love with it! I’m having so much fun playing it, can’t wait for more character updates!
I’ve always been a gamer, but for a good couple of years I lost my motivation to want to play anything since Breath of The Wild (which I spent around 6 months every evening after putting my daughter to bed playing 😂) This game has me addicted. I feel excited to play and unwind when I can with Dreamlight Valley and Its so fun unlocking characters ❤ Cant wait for updates and to see where this could go!
I think if Disney made a game where you could recreate all the rides in Disneyland and actually enjoy the rides ( like VR) I think that would be epic. Where you could make in game purchases to unlock new lands in the park and recreate the rides? Imagine the endless possibility, open sandbox Disney world without the lines.
Disneyland Adventures, available for the Xbox One and PC on the game pass, could have been like this; the open world of Disneyland's Magic Kingdom (circa 2010, so before the integration of Star Wars and Marvel) is there, but they chose to make all the rides minigames instead. Sort of missed opportunity there in my opinion, but it's okay. It's pretty fun.
This is a great idea, and I think the whole rollercoaster / zoo tycoon genre of games would benefit a ton from VR 😯

The cosmetic items for the deluxe and ultimate packs are very nice, but I think the biggest draw for them is going to be the premium currency. Even though it's not a thing right now, when the game store launches I'm guessing that premium currency in those values is going to be the price of the founders packs. So 8,000 for $30. 20,000 for $70. So you're basically getting all those cosmetics "free" once the currency is activated. I'm guessing there will be lower tiers like 500 for $7 or something like that, which will not be enough to truly buy anything good. So, having a mass of currency up front plus the bonus items will be nice. That seems to be the way it is with other similar free to play models, at least.
Welp, you answered my question about upgrading the pack later on Switch. That's really unfortunate, but I'll just have to scrutinize the items a bit more between now and Friday lol Sad I missed todays Twitch stream, but thank you for giving so much info on this game - yesterday's stream here was a blast!

Im loving the game. The slow menus can be slightly frustrating but overall still playable. I personally say it was worth the money but I do have to say take caution because even though I say it was worth it doesn't mean it is. Its worth it for me on nostalgia and just love for Disney make it worth it for me

I got the ultimate edition on the switch and I don’t regret it either. It’s so much fun and the clothes and furniture you get are totally worth it. But I was also able to use cloud save and events tab day 1 on the switch, so I’m not sure why not everyone could.
Same but I also waited way late into the night to start it so I feel like a lot of bugs were worked out by the time I sat down and played.
Since you got it on the switch does other profiles have access to it on your switch?

I’m loving the game on my switch. My game did bug out a bit when I unlocked the castle and I was able to unlock two portals and not just one. Which isn’t really a bad thing lol 😂 I’ve had a few issues with it crashing but after a second software update I haven’t been experiencing many crashes. Thank you for the review. I’m so glad that I got the deluxe version. I will definitely be putting it on my PC.

I did get this … couldn’t resist. I’m really enjoying it. A bit buggy though. Right now I have Wall-e following me around while I harass squirrels trying to feed them, but no prompt. This went on for hours, until I decided that I’d play the rest of the game with Wall-e following me. Lucky I love him. 😂

Great and honest review thank you! I just got into Animal Crossing this year and love it and have been obsessed with Disney Sorcerer Arena since launch so I feel like this perfect game for me. Maybe I wait until after nanowrimo because I'll never work on my novel if I buy this hahaha 🤣
I was so skeptical wether i'd like it or not after i watched some gameplay and videos like yours.
But playing it, it was mindblowing. So relaxing, so easy and intuitive.
I'm so glad i can play it for a few hours unlike in animal crossing!
Also character creation is simple but awesome, i mean characters looks very charming (both male and female).
I'm glad it runs well on switch but i play it on serie S.
I went ahead and purchased the base game for early access, but really couldn’t justify spending more for cosmetic items. Hoping I will enjoy this!

I’m already love it and played it for nearly under 20 hours already. From what I’ve been playing for roughly 2 days now. Also, for the other characters, that looks like an update for later on from within the castle. Which, could be possible here.
So, I hope they fix bit of minor glitches that is slightly happening for the time being.

I knew nothing about this game till I saw a brief trailer a week ago, and then on launch day I saw a live play on the Outside Xbox CZcams channel and was basically "..Well, I MUST own this game." and bought it as soon as I got home from work. Loving every second of it so far. I have taken an INSANE amount of selfies with WALL-E.
I loved the stream! Also will be picking this up (cheapest tho just spent 100 bucks on shoes and have to pay bills)
Just an FYI, if you have XBox Game Pass, you can play this for free right now and you appear to have the very base founders pack items as well. Cloud Save wouldn't work for me yesterday either, but I am going to get it working so when it comes out for free on Switch I can still have my items. Thank you for showing the difference! My Xbox is an older one and seemed to run a little faster than your description of switch, but slower than pc.
I wish the game would run as smoothly on the switch as it does on pc, that's the only thing stopping me from buying this (for now, we'll see if i give up and just buy the game lol). But I'll definitely watch your dreamlight valley streams!! Can't wait to see you play today! ❤️

Love the video! Quick tip for everyone: if you have Xbox game pass you can get the standard edition for free.
Will we lose our standard edition if and when it leaves game pass and comes out for free later on? I saved my game to the cloud but idk if that will keep the progress.
One small correction, it's not available on Android or iOS yet. They've discussed that they want the full game release to be ready before putting it out on those platforms. But yes I agree it's a fantastic game and I'm having a blast so far!

i love it a lot even tho i had several crashes and it even froze several times but due to it saving the game so often it has not bothered me at all~ so excited to see how much it is gonna develop until release 💖

I think if you expect it to run like a switch game and can look past the flaws then its the game for you but if you are expecting it to play like on other consoles or pc then you will be disappointed

I bought the Ultimate on switch and claimed it and my cloud save brought it all over to the free version on gamepass
I love this game. You are so lucky it’s not crashing on you. Mine crashes a lot. It’s annoying and sometimes I lose the last thing I did. However, it is not keeping me from playing.

Ah, it looks a great game. Definitely something I might be interested in as an ACNH replacement. Question though - do you know if the Switch founder's packs will expire at all in the next few months (before release)? I mean, I'm probably wanting to pick the game up say mid-Oct but don't want to miss out on the packs.
They said the game packs will stay until it goes out of early access. You just won’t get the extra 2 items that you get with week 1 which is the Choc crocodile and the donut ears

Finally they are creating something similar to Disney Magical World which was on the DS, you had to battle bosses in that one though. I'm excited, I can't wait for the hard copy.

I bought the sec9nd tier pack on my switch and just the basic one on pc and it runs smoother on pc but both are playable and I LOVE that cloud play was even included. Also I love this game.
Love it. Have the name glitch and apparently they are adding a name change ability soon. I also am having issues with cloud save to enable cross progression.
I'm obsessed it's sooooo good! Definitely lots of hiccups on the Switch with performance so I hope they will be fixed soon (including crashes)

I’m pretty sure I can wait till it’s free, lol. I don’t actually like any of the items in the founders packs. Plus I only have a switch, it can be like Stitch because they both can glitch. XD Lilo and Stitch is my favourite disney movie, I couldn’t stop myself, lol. But I did see Remi in a let’s play and that temps me, but not enough yet to buy. Glad to see you having fun.

I have it on PC it's gets slightly laggy, but its really fun! Highly recommend! I love fishing. You can get so much money fishing early on and making food!

even with some of the bugs on the switch (merlin getting stuck trying to give me extra mining items on one certain rock in the corner near his house, a memory near the orb of power being stuck in a wall and not accessible, music lag when it's heavily raining, crashing probably every 4 or so hours of continual game play etc), i am genuinely amazed at the chokehold this game has on me. it's so freaking fun, i've already sunk so many hours into it and i can't wait to do even more. the nostalgia is amazing, i love the dialogue, the characters are so cute and seem genuinely like the ones i grew up with, i just can't be happier with it and i think the ultimate edition that i bought is so worth it. i know they'll eventually iron out the bugs and the game will be perfect but until then i'm still genuinely happy with this game and it's exactly the game i was hoping it would be when i first heard about it. T_T
Switch player here! The only glitch I’m getting is in menus (inventory, loading quests, etc). I purchased the base game as someone whose not fully unit Disney or their characters and am completely satisfied!
If you get the early access version will you get to keep that when the proper version comes out or do you lose everything?
Your stream/coverage of this game got me to look into it on Game Pass. I was playing it for countless hours on my Xbox last night. I'm considering buying the Ultimate Edition tonight after midnight, when my paycheck comes in. I'll just play on Xbox for now, which will likely remain my primary platform, enjoy all the extra goodies, and wait for it to become free to play to transfer my progress to Switch and PC/Steam Deck.
What if I buy the standard version, how much more do we need to pay for the Ultimate Edition? Will they deduct the price of standard? Or we have to pay the whole price for Ultimate?
@@mariussantos94 you can’t upgrade a pack once you buy it on a platform. The only way you can get it elsewhere is to buy it over on another platform and buy the different type you want. There’s no deduction.

I was originally not gonna get it because I thought it looked too mobile game-like but I caved in and bought it out of curiosity. The Switch version is really laggy and it crashed once on me but thank goodness for the auto save so I didn’t lose too much. Either way, for once in my life, I think the fun far outweighs the lag and crashes. There’s so much you can do and unlock and I’m genuinely surprised that this game will be free (+ cosmetic monetisation) next year.
It was your video that convinced me to get it! ACNH got me through lockdown, etc, but I have done 99% of it and now it’s just “maintenance” and a little boring. So I got the game and played for three hours until I finally had to stop and make dinner:)

I have admittedly pumped almost 20 hours into this game. The puzzles aren't too hard, but being able to pretty much have free reign over everything is pretty great. In ACNH money is a huge problem. Also not being able to play properly at night was a bit annoying. This game fixed that issue entirely. I just don't know how many characters truly are available. The game says there are 17 but the promotional art has beauty and the beast, stitch, and more, but I cannot find them. However, Wall-E is the cutest character on the planet and my favorite. being able to have more time with this character is fantastic.
