On popular demand, I decided to edit an untrimmed version of the dual emergency situation at Phoenix. Finally made the decision to only display PHX Arrivals due to a really cluttered radar if displaying departures + sattellite airport traffic + VFR planes around.
Frequencies are combined. You will hear different controllers working different sectors.

Thank you Victor. I cannot imagine what it takes to do what you're doing. I can't imaging the stress of being a pilot or ATC in busy airspace. But it seems to me that for everyone involved in these emergencies it was just another day at the office.

@@hogstromkalle it is good not to have text underneath so people practice listening, I mean, you can always cover that part, but this way you are forced to listen better and better
With this event particularly, it was really crucial to show both aircraft on the same scope. The broader arrival pattern was also really interesting to see, as the controllers made room for not one but two emergencies. Breaking aircraft off the arrival in different directions confused me at first but they got them all lined up in a new circuit together

Enjoyed the high level of professionalism. I loved the moment when the read back was corrected from 6000 to 8000 and was seen as all in a days work, instead of a possibly catastrophic misunderstanding.

As a non-native speaker, I'd really appreciate subtitles. :) I know there are the auto generated ones, but they tend to be inaccurate on especially the less legible bits.

Can someone explain what they mean when they refer to “the box”? This phrase was used a couple times. Thank you
Pilots set their approach into their FMS. Flight management system including probably also performance data for that apr/runway. EM aircraft busy enough and didn’t want atc to change the approach & rnwy they’re all planned and set up for.
"The box" can also mean the transponder when entering a squawk code.
The controller was talking about setting DAL733 up with a rectangular pattern or square pattern. For extra spacing. Thats what the controller meant by box pattern. It was a non-standard thing he did but not that big of a deal either. Really he did it to give DAL733 more room from AAL1038 (emergency aircraft). Think of it more so as a make shift holding pattern before they brought him back in. Or at least thats what thr controller’s intention was when he told DAL733 to expect a box pattern.
Regarding AAL2006, the “box” is slang term for the aircraft’s FMS that the pilots use to program their flight plan route and calculate performance numbers for takeoff and landing.
