Against any other team BI would have drawn two more often. OKC trusted Lu Dort in single coverage on BI the same way they did with him in Luka. Using that one series to say BI isn’t creating open looks is pretty wild. Idk how u can watch the whole season and not say BI is a good secondary creator, and he actually creates open shots by manipulating the defense. His assist numbers were down also because pels just didn’t hit shots against okc

What I’ve been thinking for a while as the perfect summer is similar to what you’ve said:
1. Trae or Donovan
2. Wendell, he can throw lobs out of the short roll as well, more easy buckets for Zion
3. Do the above while keeping 21 to get Ware or DaRon Holmes II for the bench
Maybe 4. Potential trade for WCJ includes CJ. Use the TE to get another creator or Deni Avdija
We already have a lob threat in Jose Alvarado. CJ can lob too if asked. Both Zion and TM3 can dunk, plus getting a mobile athletic center via trade or draft.

Zion was the leading scorer 26 times and BI was 21 times. CJ was third at 18.
Zion also played in 6 more games than BI.
During the latter part of the season the talk around the NBA was that BI & ZION were the best 1-2 punch in the league. 🥰👏🏻
If we keep BI & have him commit to changing his style of play a little bit(driving to the basket more, which he is great at) and draft or get a point guard through free agency & have CJ come off the bench, we would be a contender!
Hell, we won 49 games without BI for several weeks & playing hurt in the playoffs, and lost Zion before the playoffs.😤 That was a recipe for disaster.💣💥 With those two healthy we would have competed with OKC. And we beat a damn good team in the Kings SIX TIMES IN A ROW, knocking them out of the playoffs!🥳 We should take a deep breath and reconsider all this craziness!! If we had a better coach than Willie we would have won 60 games, with all the blown double digit leads and choking in a dozen games in crunch time.

A dynamic guard is THE most important move to make. No guard on the roster can break down defenses. Trae Young or Donovan Mitchell available? Murray or Garland? Is Zach Lavine gonna be ready at the start of 24-25?
Tyus Jones. He averaged 7.3 assists on a horrifically inept Wizards team on limited minutes (as they were tanking). Tyus would easily get double digit assists on a talented Pels team.

Donovan Mitchell. Every team had a least one player you could make a case for being the best player on the court. I used to think BI was on the level with those guys, but he didn’t build off the playoff run vs PHO. He stopped shooting 3s instead of continuing to evolve offensively. We’re actually still waiting on Zion to put it all together. The Zion vs the Lakers in play in game was teasing. That Zion + a Trae Young or any of these “available” guards is needed to move the Pels forward.

Would rather Naz Reid ALL DAY. In fact, I would trade for him with the mindset that he would start. I would draft a 4 year big who is a polished project. I would also sign another free agent big and roll like that at the Center position. If its not going well, swing for the fences at the deadline.
Plus, I would trade for Garland, Dejounte Murray or Sexton and see if they could be the answer at the 1. I like Garland's game to develop a bit more than Sexton. HARD PASS on CP3. Dude cant stay healthy into the playoffs and he hasnt been heathly since Phoenix and even then he still was hurt when it mattered most. We trying to get Zion to the postseason, geez.
