No ingram said very clearly in his end of season press conference he feels that it would help to have a point guard/facilitator like his first season. He said he feels like it freed him up to play off the ball a bit more and his numbers showed he shot more 3’s. He had his best individual season. Its dumb to ignore that considering Zion and Ingram both have mentioned missing having a player like lonzo or even jrue at the point. CJ cannot run the point
I get we have to do what it takes to win. Paying a player $34 million this year & $31 next to not start says to me we have a GM and/or coaching problem that allows this to happen.
There isn’t a good team out there that would trade for CJ. They wouldn’t trade for him 3 years ago, why would they now? We’re stuck in a bad contract with CJ.
So....the stats clearly show BI and Zion were great together and BI and CJ were great together, but that CJ and Zion were just so so and all three together were meh...why is everyone all hyped up to get rid of BI? My biggest reason to trade Brandon, and honestly Zion too, is because they’re consistently injured! Yes, Brandon played terribly this post season. But would he have been better if he wasn’t injured? I think he’s fantastic but given our main acquisition HAS to be a dynamic guard, it’s difficult to be spending 55-80m on dynamic guards when only one is a starter and only one is your 1a/1b It might be fine because he’s expiring in 2026, but why not get assets

CJ is in his pre-retiring stage of his career and need to come off that bench. About BI... personally the team should resign BI and give him a real PG. You can’t compare him to Giannis since Z isn’t a DPOY caliber defender or good rebounder. Watching these playoffs, its a youth and length movement, OKC targeted this dude all series, he's never been a good defender so if he's not making shots you are not getting anything out of him

Lack of playmaking. When thaw are on the court you struggle to have either create for themselves while maximizing the other.
