    Unsurprisingly, Putin has won the Russian presidential "election" and will now stay in power until at least 2030 (if he lives that long). We all know that Russia is not a democracy and that the elections are more of a theatre play than a serious election but Russia still takes elections seriously in the sense that they want Putin to be popular. Big unpopular decisions are never taken just before elections, even in Russia.

    I used to work in refineries. Scheduled downtime in refineries is normally months and they will have all the materials on hand before they start. These refineries getting hit, It will almost certainly take a very long time to fix assuming they can even get the parts.
    They also need the brain power to fix this stuff and when many go down.. well you get stretched thin even if they have the engineers in Russia. See, most of the engineers that work on these systems are no longer needed once a system is running. They generally are contracted from third party, many of those companies are EU US companies with a lot in India as well.

      Scholz, Tusk, Lauterbach, Duda, Lindner, Berbоck - these are all the grandchildren of the Nazis who served Hitler, and they are now leading Europe. What kind of peace can we talk about in Europe if the descendants of the Nazis are in power in the EU and the descendants of those who supplied Hitler with military equipment and fuel before 1944 are in power in the United States? Russian Russians again, as 80 years ago, will clear all historically Russian territories from Nazi occupiers, the fact that the West controlled by the globalists is arming terrorists of the Bandera neo-Nazi junta will only prolong the agony of the Nazis but will not change the result of this war. The hour is getting closer when the war criminals who started this war in 2014 will appear before an international tribunal organized by the Russians. But these are only the perpetrators of crimes, and Western customers will escape punishment again, it's a pity... oh

      Yeah I also remember when during a 2012 Presidential debate when Romney answered that he viewed Russia as the biggest geopolitical threat to world peace and Obama answered with a joke that "the 1980's called and wanted their foreign policy back." Obama then proceeded to apologize to Putin on a hot mic as President for pretending to be tough and Hillary Clinton's Russia reset ensued. The fact is that Russia's economy is actually diversified but the oil sector is a strong part of it. The sanctions haven't had a huge impact and most economic data has been good (not all) since the war started, actually showing decent GDP growth. Even Germany is buying Russia's petroleum products just a year into the war. Putin's still popular there. Any win will have to be with artillery, infantry, and bullets.

      UK and USA signed a contract in 1994; Ukraine gave up its nuclear arsenal and the US and UK keep its sovereignty safe from Russia. The idea was a nuclear-weapon-free buffer between Russia and the rest of Europe, Russia gets the nukes back and Ukraine is allowed to westernise in trade, immigration, investment, alliances.
      The EU are stepping up where UK and USA have failed. Preventing this war would have been cheaper - both in blood and money

      I'm an American, and this problem you speak of is 6000 miles away from our boarders. It's not our problem. Europe has scoffed at America and our military spending. Looks like they're not laughing anymore.

    • @adrian.banninksy
      @adrian.banninksy Před měsícem

      @@sc1338 nope, the Kiel Institute monitors the total aid to Ukraine during the entire war, you can see that in December '23 the USA did 62 billion dollars and Europe did 85 billion dollars. Nevertheless both are massive figures!
      When Russia starts to dominate Europe and also China expands his power, the US will get a problem. Both countries are member of the BRICS Alliance. One of the main goals of these countries is to push the Dollar out of the world trade. When they succeed, and I believe one day they will, the stability of the Dollar will knocked out. I personally think that we must not underestimate these forces. But I hope I am wrong.

    • @adrian.banninksy
      @adrian.banninksy Před měsícem +1

      @@ruks345 Most of the Europeans still laugh. But with regards to a war in our front garden, you are right...that is not funny. But luckily the EU did act rather accurate and in December 2023 the aid which Europe did send to the Ukraine was already significant more than the US did. But nevertheless (85 billion against 62 billion Dollars) are both contributions huge.
      If a war 6,000 miles away is not your problem...that's a question with more sides of a coin. When you take a viewpoint a the short and local scale you got state that Europe has to solve it's own problems. I always was a big supporter of this frame and I am happy that Europe (to late) is taking responsibility. Military budget go as a rocket and the European defense industry will get a huge boost. I hope it's not to late, 'cause you are right that Europe leaned against the US.
      When you look global and you look at what Russia and China are doing, than the US may have some issues. These counties are for example trying to push the Dollars out of the world trade. This would be a huge problem for the US. So this war has more sides, I think.
      Hope you made it to the end. I respect your point of view of course. But felt the urge to put an alternative aside it.

The "flying toilet" (originally with jet engine) was first invented by Dansih rockband "Shu-bi-dua" in 1976 for their 3rd album: _Shu-bi-dua 3_ - if you search for that on CZcams you'll find the album cover depicting it. Shu-bi-dua might have lent the Ukrainians a helping hand here.
