Seeing them board with Kotal's head rolling towards the camera was a sad end to a character but i'm not gonna lie that's probably the most badass entrance ever.

Kotal was one of the more interesting characters from the new timeline. He seemed noble and even fair, especially compared to Shao Kahn, but still brutal and demanding in his desire to protect Outworld. You could see how the demands of Kombat and paranoia were slowly turning him into a tyrant, no matter how hard he fought it. I especially love the scene when he abdicates to Kitana for doing what he could not: uniting Outworld rather than ruling. Kind of hope he makes an appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 somehow, even if he's not playable.
I hope we'll get him in the next kombat pack, I mean Sindel mentions him in mk1 story but not as "Kahn" in this timeline he's General Kotal like Shao

Honestly this scene makes me hope for a moment like this if the new mortal kombat movie is the first in a trilogy. Get them to outworld, in the arena, with the majority of the cast crossing paths. One side good the other evil, and then they charge at each other.
Plus, they should play the classic mortal kombat theme during it as well. That would make my life complete

Absolutely brutal by Shao Kahn - first the head butt to knock down Kotal, then picks up Kotal like a rag doll, despite Kotal being an absolute heavy weight, brutally crunches Kotal's rib cage in crushing bear hug. Not to leave Kotal hanging, he then puts him a toture rack like he's a feather weight and breaks Kotal's back! Now that's a fight!
