Four unlikely heroes must make a harrowing trek through a war-torn United States. Their cargo? Plans for a devastating German bomb that will change the face of the 20th century: Project Luderitz.
[e02: Friends Like These] An Anarchist uprising rocks Chicago, with simultaneous attacks on various Socialist strongholds throughout the city. In the confusion, a band of Anarchist rebels break out Albert, a mysterious German scientist. The escape goes sideways, and Albert and Emily’s journeys collide.

What exactly is the point in having a brand new universe? Is it separate from Kaiserreich do the factions still have the same names why change the name of historical figures?
Kaiserreich doesn't have a canon so the show was always in this weird in-between place. Committing to a new universe means the show can have its own canon and not interfere with KR's. Both faction names and historical character names are changing, you can hear it in the trailer 😁
