A little something I have made for the new mini series of HBO - Chernobyl. This show is a masterpiece and gave us the truth about the catastrophe of Chernobyl. It's definitely one of the best television I have ever seen.
With this video, I wanted to pay tribute to the heroes who gave their lives to protect people.
As always, I hope you guys will love this one.

@@lippesterlippester400 the story of Ludmilla Ignatenko and her baby, who absorbed most of the radiation from her husband Vasily during the last days after the incident, when both were together in hospital. The radioactivity she had been exposed to around Vasily had a life-threatening impact on her unborn child.
Her newborn baby daughter Natashenka died hours after being born of cirrhosis of the liver and congenital heart disease. So yes, the fatal dose Ludmila received while taking care of Vasily went to her baby, who safed mothers life literally. Source from book "Voices from Chernobyl" by Svetlana Alexievich
Para Akula ARS ill patients do not emit radiation themselves, her baby died 4 days after being born, not hours. She died due to other reasons, radiation had nothing to do with it as radiation sickness is not contagible

The sick thing, is that this was based on a true story. You did your best to reflect on that story, and it was awesome, that we got to see this. It really did show everything.
It also rings true about the British culture of lies, denial, duplicity, nationalistic propaganda, bigotry, military posturing, cultural indoctrination, & a conscious effort to move away from Science & to avoid "Critical Thinking" no matter what the cost.

Thank you. You almost made me shed a tear and I mean this as a huge compliment. This show deserves all the credit it gets. Everybody should watch this, think about this, pay tribute to all those who risked and/or sacrificed their lives in the chain of events. They were real heroes, nameless even faceless for the most of the world but they will never be forgotten. Humanity honors many who does something interesting, useful, entertaining... if so all of those men and women would deserve a statue.

No other show or movie has articulated just how devastating lies are as well, in my opinion, as this one. Be a stick in the mud. Always challenge when there are concerns to be made. So what if they threaten you. Nothing makes the freedom of expression more liberating than having your right to it threatened by small men with tenuous authority.

Whether we choose to or not. The truth doesn't care about our needs or wants. It doesn't care about our governments, our ideologies, our religions. It will lie in wait for all time. And this, at last, is the gift of Chernobyl. Where I would once fear the cost of truth, now I only ask... What is the cost of lies?
