    I have owned this car from new, since it came out in the UK. I have always been very happy with the car. It has now done over 36,000 faultless miles. One of the comments i totally agree with is that it should never have been given the MICRA name. It is far more upmarket than any MIcra that has gone before. And as a result NISSAN didn’t do themselves any favours, with sales, in the UK anyway.

    Got this engine too. It's an advanced TCe with sprayed cylinder bushings, adaptive oil pump. Under the hood it can be spotted by the electric servo for the turbo. Later versions were "cleaned" to 90 hp. No high pressure fuel pump, it's a cheap car ... will take between 6 and 6.6 liter. It 'll go displayed 180 in fourth gear when floored, right pointer at the red edge. 5th gear seems to be cut, but the car will go displayed 190, and over 200 downhill. I recommend 5W40. 40 is not in the manual, but approved by Nissan. A good idea to help the chain last. Get the ACEA right to prevent clogging, and change every other year.

    Hello.
    i think its good i wouldn't mind to drive one my whhole life probably but ..
    1. the Speedometer kept flikering the whole video (i dont know if you are experiencing it or its just becoz im watching in 60fps and you've recorded so).
    2. ithink the engine is a big loud dont you think ?
    3. the navigation on the touch screen has an obvious delay which makes it not a responsive screen

    I currently own a micra and I can say that it has been fairly reliable. I wouldn’t go as far as to recommend it unless you are attracted to it already. The drive is nice enough but the gear box is a tad bit notchy and my car does make a fair few rattles even after just 5000 miles

      I only drove the Micra once and I noticed that. These Nissan transmissions just feel cheap ... I have a Ford and the gear slips in very well, but in the Micra it feels hard and unpleasant to shift.

      @@jonas1630 Which Ford? I test drove a current Fiesta and was extremely disappointed with its gear box, which gets so much praise. The Micra's felt absolutely right to me. It's quite similar when it comes to handling. Also, the EcoBoost's noise below 2000rpm in higher gears and the vibrations are a complete deal breaker. It surprises me how Ford gets away with that.

      @@YTOnceAgain Hey, if you drove a Fiesta and mean the 5 speed it's not that awesome but if you go for a 6-speed than it's a different story entirely. I personally can say the same thing about the current Opel/Vauxhall Corsa.

      @@chriskonte1909 No, I drove the 6-speed in a 125hp mild-hybrid. It was actually also a tad slow for 125hp, but at least it's very fuel efficient.

    The worst thing about this car is the name "Micra" as it simply doesn't capture this product.
