I just want people to be clear that he's not bisexual and has confirmed that. Hes just a very chill and open man who isnt fragile in his masculinity.
Tbf, I think he said he’s still open to it, but has opened himself up to the idea, and the chance to be attracted to men, but has yet to experience any. But, yes. We should respect that he (I believe) considers himself straight.
Can people stop it with the "fragile masculinity" b.s.? Not being comfortable doing things or even joking about doing things with people who are not of the sex and gender you're attracted to does not mean you're "fragile."
@@englishatheart no I agree, but I think the fragile masculinity comes in when certain men are actually afraid or upset that any implication of them being sensitive or having a close friendship with a guy makes them less of a man. So they steer clear of doing certain things not because they’re uncomfortable but because they think it’ll make them no longer a man. But what even does it mean to be any gender, as long as you’re that gender and you’re you then that’s all that matters. So yeah. Just my thoughts. It’s the same for girls. I’ve come across some girls who are super angry at the innocent question of “are you gay” and go out of their way to avoid being too friendly with other girls. There are valid reasons but when it’s plain defensiveness because of a preconceived notion somebody personally has, why not challenge yourself to go outside that comfort zone?

I really think it comes down to the fact that they(any gender) will specifically not do something because they think it’ll make them less of their gender. I do believe that someone being uncomfortable joking about intimacy with a gender they aren’t attracted to is very valid and okay. Like I said I just think it comes down to “I’m not gonna do this thing because it’ll make me less of a person/gender”.

I know he's not bisexual but he's very open and comfortable with saying bi or gay sounding things. That's one thing I have always liked about him he's not super worried about his masculinity so he says and does things like this. I really like the video, but i think some of the comments rubbed me the wrong way with people just using this video as some sort of proof that rhett is bi or a closeted homosexual. I think thats going a step too far especially because rhett himself has said in a podcast that he thinks it isnt cool to assume someones sexuality without asking them first. But hes also admitted that he doesnt mind people poking and having fun with matters related to his sexuality personally because hes willingly entered the public eye and can handle stuff like that. Either way rhett is a legend and is completely comfortable with his sexuality.

@dremora4957 I would say it would be uncomfortable if they didn't clarify it's a joke. We all assume people are straight anyways as the default anyways, so people who are homosexual already will be assumed straight unless they're flamboyant or something. Personally, I don't think it matters anyways, a person's sexuality. I never get the purpose of it, outside of maybe dating apps to select who you want to see. If I tell a man I'm gay, and I'm not attracted to him, what purpose did that serve exactly? Easier to just tell people you like them and be rid of the social concept, but because it's taboo to some, sexuality has to be a big deal.
