I was born in April, but it took 5 months for my parents to settle on a name. This is so true. When I was born in Ghana, West Africa my father gave me Eagles as my first name. When I grew up I asked him why he named me Eagles because a lot of people think it's rather my nickname. His response? He got the name from the name of the spacecraft the Americans sent to the moon.

What Kevin said also kinda applies to how Ice Cube got his nickname as well. He started calling himself that after his brother told him he would throw him in the freezer & when he came out he'd be ice cube, and from that day he started using that name.

My mother worked at a hospital here in Dallas in the neonatal ward. One of her responsibilities was to have the mom fill out the birth certificate facts. One being name of said baby.
