Due to popular demand I am bringing back the series 'Worst Firsts' as a podcast!
Brittany returns to form with actress-comedian & host of the "Your Mom's House" Podcast Christina Pazsitky (AKA Christina P) to talk about several worst firsts in a special "lightning round of trauma," involving hearing about their parents' sex lives at way too early of an age and having to deal with their own mental illness. Plus, Christina discusses how having children has brought up some more of her anxiety and childhood issues.
'Worst Firsts' is available on all podcasts platforms:

I needed to see this today. As a person with a mother as a first born from German and Polish immigrants. She has borderline personality disorder and I have cptsd/generalized anxiety disorder from her abuse. This really resonated with me and I feel less alone.

You're right! You are not alone! So many of us girls go through the same exact thing and we just don't get a lot of chances to talk about it with other girls. My mother is a borderline and my sister shows serious signs of it but hasn't been diagnosed. It's a serious problem that ruins lives. I hope you find someone who can listen to you and understand you.

Did anyone else find this podcast -most- VERY helpful? and also, an insight into self-care? I DID. I don't think they were trying to help others with their own issues, But rather, let ppl know what it's like for them. It totally helped me. Having been in therapy and seeing Doctors for decades..blah, blah,. Jeezus, this podcast helped more than all those years...I think we need more ppl like Brittany and Christina P

A mommy dude here. Most likely it doesn’t matter what I have to say. But here we go.... my dad left the house when I was two. I’m the youngest of three kids. I was raised by a bipolar mother and two older sisters. And, we lived poor. I had to make a peanut butter sandwich for myself for school starting at the age of five. I guess it made me closed in and creative. I’m not unhappy about my upbringing, but I understand why I’m so unconventional😂

my mom also was diagnosed with bipolar and multiple personality disorders. also kicked me out and id go back she would allow boyfriends to abuse me shed abuse me and when id ask her why she allowed me to be treated that way shed do the sideways mouth like oh well you get what you get.. aweful... finally at 16 i was on my own never moved back in with her and now she has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in lungs and lymph nodes and although i have forgiven her and learned to deal with my past I am trying to be able to be around her so I have no regrets when she passes. the sad part is she is so mean and i am her only girl she is verbally abusive to my siblings more so the one that still lives with her but for me for soe reason she has this hatred like she is jealous or just hates me, found out recently that her self esteem is so low and she is try8ing to deal with that too but she puts me down constantly especially my parenting i have 5 kids now never ever would i put them thru anything i went thru but i have a dyslexic child she puts me down because by saying how i haven't done enough for him or just things like that sure it pisses me off but one day i explained to her that i allow my kids to be kids i dont expect them to act older and her biggest problem is she doesnt put that into consideration, how the milestones of maturity and age group works. she always expected us to act older and be self-sufficient never being able to act our age. for instance, when she remarried and had 2 boys i was the builtin babysitter if i didn't watch them id be grounded to have to anyways yet i always went back for some fucked up reason... anyways a lot there but thats the jest.. i get the anxiety i have such a hard time pulling myself out to handle things because people or even taking to someone on the phone is hard for me. i have never been medicated because my mom forced me to take meds at 14 when i didnt need them i just needed a mother so bc of the force and the counselor believing her while she sat there fake and calling me an attention seeker i now hate therapy when someone should've called cps many times nobody ever did and the one person that couldve helped forced meds on me at my moms request. my mom would slip me half Xanax at 10 if was acting out. she just wanted me zombified. and eventually id get kicked out again and although i was relieved it made me feel like i wasnt worth anythin anyways i am terrified to become medicated now and I have thought about reaching out because anxiety sucks to fight with every day. i surround myself with my husband and my kids and its hard work to go anywhere with a friend or even to the store.

Im 1 of 10 kids, second youngest or #9 as my dad called me. My oldest sister is schizophrenic and holy moly was that a wild childhood with her. ALOT of turmoil, physical attacks and trauma, but she only attacked me, my sisters and my mom, for some reason she never attacked the males in the family. I wish i had a comedians brain, but I LOVE comics and stand up shows, so Im happy that I still see the humour in life.

WOW...this was so eye opening. Thank you so much for this! It gave me an insight to one of my best friends from high school, she went though similar things & it involved sexual abuse. Her mother was from Turkey and she was severely abusive. My friend and her brother were brought to the US by their father and the abuse continued. She ran away and I didn't see her for years, later we reconnected but dropped off again because I was going through some things myself. She ended up calling me a few years later telling me she wanted to commit suicide. I talked her out of it by making her realize how great she was doing in life, she had two little girls and she had built multiple businesses and I mentioned that she could be a motivational speaker because of how much she had gone through and she was alive and well. Long story short she is now a very successful multimillionaire she does motivational speaking and I believe she is also helping individuals who have gone through similar situations. She is happy and thriving with her family.

I require alone time because of it ...And I don't really do well with people who lie to me or that are fake ...This World is hard enough without more B.S. so I just spend alot of time alone because I have a hard time trusting and it really sucks ..
