By the time this video came out I had already worn out my cassette and everyone I knew was sick of hearing me say the same thing
Because months before I was at my best bud's (RIP) house and his uncle came to visit
He walked in the door, tossed my friend the unwrapped tape and says
"Check this out, I don't know who they are but the cover looked cool so I bought it"
      We popped it in and
Before Axl even finished the opening howl I looked at my friend and said
"This is the greatest band ever"
And I've never changed my mind since
And I wasn't even upset that they blew up (you know like Korn fans) because I had been talking about them so much that everyone remembered and gave me credit....Lol I was 10 years old so that was a big deal you know

I must have watched about 25 to 30 people's reaction to this song and yours has been the best one.
You are the only one who got it and what it was about. All the others I have seen looked for more deeper meanings to "The Jungle" and what it meant, most thinking it meant to world in general and GNR was making a statement about how messed up world is etc.
Sometimes lyrics are just lyrics and just mean smuch simpler things and not trying to make a statement about anything. Even in some of the best songs.
The Beatles Helter Skelter was just about a kids slide in a park, Steffen Wolfes song Magic Carpet Ride was just about a guy who bought a new HI Fii stereo system etc.
Thanks for you reaction and pointing out that Welcome to the Jungle is about the dark side of the city of LA and GNR was not trying to make some political statement on how messed up the world is.

The sunset strip in the 80s!!!
Many clubs had mirrors on the tables!
Every musician alive played on the strip!
    Combined with Cal jam…..
I’ve seen at least 100 bands perform live.👍😎

They play this song a lot at sport games. I used to watch hockey games when I was younger and they play this a lot.

The nananana part of the song was something Roger Taylor (Queen drummer) did in his 1977 solo track "I Wanna Testify".

Many rockers wrote beautiful love songs, Axl wrote This I love, I have not seen one reaction for this song, not one, you would be the first! Would you also react to I Still love you KISS MTV unplugged 1991. Apparently Paul Stanley wrote this song after learning from the news his girlfriend was getting married to an actor. Here again, not many reactors have done this one and I don't understand why! Thanks, it is nice to see you back keeping great music alive.😊
