I'm always amazed at peoples DIY capabilities compared to mine. I have a garage, I have tools that I keep buying, but zero DIY skills 🤷‍♂️ so I live my DIY through other people & now it's time for a cup of tea & some cake after building that living wall 🛠

Very impressive Stuart , and using the fabric as the actual soil container is a stroke of genius . Not having to make lots of boxes which would have increased the weight, is a game changer . To make it a bit 'greener' you could have installed a water butt to the garage gutter downpipe and used an Irrigatia Solar powered Automatic Plant Watering System fed from the water butt.

Great build and planting scheme. Did you not consider just planting some climbers for a permanent solution without the need to water? You could have put a wisteria, climbing rose, passion flower, vine etc? I’ve put roses and wisteria against my timber clad garage and they never need watering and achieve a green wall without need for a watering system or all that framing…
