Forget all these people thinking you’re weird or too happy or whatever. What’s “weird” is finding people who love cooking for their families and aren’t afraid to be themselves. That’s “weird” because nowadays it’s rare. Too rare. Keep being you and keep your passion for cooking! :) I watched the whole video! Great job. Your family (and CZcams) is blessed to have you!
Thank you for your very kind words!
Oh she's way too happy. Hahaha
I've tried several methods for tri tip with good results, but yours is by far the absolute best. It turned out a perfect medium rare. I'll never make it any other way. So easy too. Thanks so much!
Rebecca... did you forget about the olive oil? LOL
Dont hate on rebecca's cooking, shes a better cook than you'll ever be.
hahah
Why do CZcams comments strive to be things no one would ever lack the class to say in public? She is helping you to make a good meal, try saying THANK YOU! Or maybe say nothing at all. Or better yet, you get in front of a camera in your kitchen and teach people how you cook. Then maybe you will see what kind of courage it takes to do this. I wouldn't be able to keep doing it after reading all of these mean comments. I know that some of you are just trying to get a laugh but humor isn't good if it is at the expense of someone else's feelings.
Thank you, I've had a fill of mean comments tonight! Your comment is great, so supportive. People have no idea how much I work on these recipes so they are simple, inexpensive and easy to copy for their families and friends. I just experimented tonight on a big sirloin tip roast, a super cheap cut to get a very tender recipe. The meanies on YT have no idea how much trouble I go to in order to figure out an easy, inexpensive way to make super great dinners, like the very best in the world, that's why I'm so excited filming, I have figured something out!!
I would like to see all of these critics make videos of their own! They are so rude and judgemental and for some reason they don't seem to understand ho foolish it makes them look. If they think they can do it better then why don't they? You are giving a gift, THANK YOU! My tritip was great & my husband was thrilled. He always BBQs them but the weekend ran out before he got to it & he had been looking forward to having sandwiches with the leftovers this week. You made us both really happy. Very much THANKS!!!
What a wonderful person you are, thank you! Love the story of how this was an good adjustment to make, no BBQ time, because so many people don't have BBQ's or the weather to use them! BBQ's can take so much time, and the temp is hard to adjust! Thank you Bellesmom!!
I do what I call pictorials on a couple websites of our cooks. You are right, its very time consuming and if someone has never done so they just have no idea.I try to make my posts crystal clear with pics so folks who have no clue on cooking can follow along, just match what you have to the pics as you cook, easy peasy!
Huge DITTO!! Especially the THANK YOU part. (I thanked her.. :) ) I checked out some of these haters' vids and all I have to say is, they have a lot of nerve making negative comments... apparently they don't own mirrors. Thanx for sticking up for Rebecca!!
You know what? This is a solid technique. It's safe to say we'd all be happy to have someone like this around us, whipping up nice tritips for people to enjoy. And on top of that, saving fat for later on to make something else to enjoy.
I love your kind comment, thank you for your support on my channel JohnLoCicero !
Love it! Even though I braise the tri-tip on a cast iron hot skillet first, and use a counter-top convection oven - faster and saves on propane. I am still inspired by this video, thanks for sharing!
Super Casse, and thank you for letting me know you can even make this in a counter top oven!!! GREAT IDEA!
I've been a steak lover for so long.. Been watching famous chefs in youtube and learned from them. But I never seen a perfect, perfect, pink like this before. Bravoooo!..
ahwhh, so nice! Thank you Paul Phoenix

I just got a great deal on some sirloin tip roasts, so I have been looking for "tips" and tricks. I never make them the same way twice. I didn't learn much here, but the Stepford wife presentation was dog-quizzically captivating! I'm so happy that I smoked a little before I watched this!

Hi Rebecca, This was my very first time making a Trip Tip, which I was so hesitant on cooking because of all the bad out come, ie dry and over cooked. So of all the CZcams videos I went with yours. I was so easy I could not believe it, Thank you it turned out perfect like you said it would.

Always perfectly done.. edge to edge.. !! Well anyway.. Nice job, again.. :)

I love your kind comment, thank you for your support on my channel Yasmin Toloza !
Thanx for sharing your method for a delicious tri-tip, whether you forgot the olive oil or not (in this case, didn't really need it with the natural fat already there). I have experimented with many various cuts of meat and this method works great! As for the haters and negative critics, especially "ms irritated", I checked out some of their posts and vids and they can't touch you...amazing how those who think they're all that BUT ARE NOT, have the worst to say about others. I think it has something to do with maturity, or lack there of. Keep doing what you do, there's a bunch who appreciate you.
She is funny why ppl hating hahaha

I actually did it the second time too. The only problem I can't stop eating it and then I eat to much. Keep up the good work
cooked this dish last night came out perfect simple and delicious, family enjoyed !
Thanks for writing to me and letting me know!
Ms. Rebecca; Nice to see you not waste the excess fat. In ALL meats, the fat is what gives it the flavor! I might be a little arrogant here, but I have had dinner guests ask me how i get my roasts so tender and flavorful. I tell then I keep the fat on the Roast - it bastes the meat! They are shocked because they have been propagandized to think all fat is "dangerous". Depending on the cut, I will also loosely wrap the roast in tinfoil which keeps the "splatter" in and makes for most excellent gravy - a good tip for cheaper tougher cut of meat. A most excellent video, thanks for posting.

Wow, people are so harsh. I think your lively spirit is what really made this video! The only (personal) issue I have is that Mr Meow Meow gives me severe allergies. Other than that, I'd gobble up that Moo Moo any day.

Rebecca, I have commented once on this recipe! I suck at cooking! This turns out perfectly...EVERY TIME! FOLKs think I'm a master chef. Shame on those who can't complete this easy task. God bless you. I'll personally choke out anyone who disrespects this blog.

Love the video.You are delightful!
Thank you for your comment mightyspuds - so nice!
I made one last night in the Sous Vide at 129F for 6 hours.Perfect pink. Then I did the broiler sear like yours, in my oven with fat cap was 15 minutes total.I didnt trim fat,i will trim like yours next time also.Did get a cup of great lard when I rendered the fat on the 4 lb meat.Have also had great luck cooking in my smoker usually at 235F (200F when cold outside is my machines max so BTDT too) until 129-135F depending on my mood. That slow cook technique makes for a fine tender result.
Looks great! Just annoyed with the knife skills. A little too paranoid while trimming the fat lol
Great job by a nice person.
I dont know what I like more....your methods OR your up beat personality. Depressed people should watch your videos!
Agreed. I went from suicidal to homicidal.
Beautiful I Love the inside color. Is there another view of youu cooking those onions with the extra fat?
i'll eat the cat's portion..lol looks good and thanks for great recipe.
hahaha! "the bomb!" funny coming from you. i'm liking this video because of that.
+Many Dan Thank you!! It's so good!!
She's willing out! lmao
It's really "winner winner try-tip dinner"
thank you hon! looks great! I agree sometimes just salt and pepper 👍 I'd have to add at least 20 min.though😉 toooooooo bloody for me lol
I get that, and thanks for telling me, yes, it was on the rarer side! LOVE your adding 20!
Rebecca Brand n
Dianna Skare It's not blood.
That's not blood, it's myoglobin. Blood is drained from beef when it's butchered. Myoglobin carries proteins, protein is good for you. Don't cook it all out!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤new viewer here, thank you
Thanks for coming so sweet of you!
I wasn't sure how you used the olive oil.
You should have your own show on tv, hella funny.
+swampass24 Thank you! Adult Swim is giving me a pilot!
WOW!!! Keep us updated!!
I LIKE YOU, YOU'RE THE BOMB...! WOW, YOU NAILED IT...! I'M GONNA TRY IT ON MY VENISON...!
+clemente miranda Awesome, venison may need to be poked with a fork for a while and marinaded... but cooked like this will help relax the meat for sure!
***** WHEN I RETURN FROM MY DEER-HUNT....I WILL APPLY THE SAME METHOD N' SURELY FOLLOW YOUR ADVISE PREPARING A WILD-GAME. I ALSO LIKE MED-RARE FOR THE VENISON ''BACK-STRAP'' OR ''TENDERLOIN''.
+clemente miranda I live in Arizona and the deer meat tends to be very gamey. do you have a secret for getting the gamey taste out? thx
shair00 ...HAVE NO ISSUES WITH OUR DEER MEAT BEING GAMEY, THE BIG-GAMES HERE ARE WELL FED WITH LUSH VEGETATION N' THEY LIVE IN A MORE COMFORT ENVIRONMENT IN COMPARISON TO THE DRY N' ARID DESERT, BUT WITH YOUR SITUATION...YOU CAN MARINATE GAMEY DEER MEAT WITH MIXTURE OF SOY-SAUCE, APPLE-CIDER-VINEGAR, ONION, GARLIC N' SLICES OF LEMON WITH ITS SKIN...MARINATE OVER NIGHT IN A *33-37* DEGREES FAHRENHEIT FRIDGE.
clemente miranda Alright man, thank you. BTW we have Elk up north and let me tell you buddy, those beautiful animals taste amazing.
So if you were cooking 2lbs would you half the time? Just cook it for 1hour? Or keep it at 2hours?
Thnxs!
Update:
1 hour in the oven for my 2.14lbs beef and it came out ONOLICIOUS! Mahalo for recipe!
How long would you need to cook it in the oven for it to turn out medium?
EXCELLENT QUESTION! TURN THE OVEN up 50 degrees, and same time.
How long for a medium well?
something about vodka and grilling that i love.......
Ha ha ha! Larry Barnett you made me laugh!
Making this tonight, do I leave it in the oven at 200 degrees on broil or does it go to bake and left on the top rack?
Debbie Rushing It's really weird. If you turn it on Broil at 200, it will go off and on and leave it looking like this! And it will perfectly cook!! It's amazing.
+Rebecca Brand I saw you burn yourself on your push buttons. What a manufacturer defect! My oven broils at 500 deg. If I turn it down to 200, it's baking. My oven doesn't have a top broiler. If I broil, I have to put the meat under the broiler which is under the oven. Do you think I could leave it under there and turn it down to 200?
