Ring Solemn Mass - Immaculate Heart of Mary Sanctuary Bells - Pescara ABRUZZO (Drone)

- In this video I'm in Pescara (Italian municipality and province in Abruzzo) precisely in the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Sanctuary was designed in 1919 and was built between 1946 and 1947 by the architect Lillo Barbera. On 31 October 1981 the Sanctuary was solemnly dedicated by H.E. Mons. Antonio Iannucci to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in fulfillment of the vow made by the Oblate missionaries of Mary Immaculate after the bombing of 8 December 1943. On the same day the concert of 7 bells was also blessed with the presence of the Rector and Parish Priest Romualdo M. Lopard OMI. The mighty bell tower with a quadrangular plan was designed by the architect Barbera according to the abbey style of Abruzzo. It was built by the Ciampoli company, under the direction of its owner, Eng. Carlo, a gentleman and great devotee of the Immaculate Heart. The construction of the bell tower took many years from 1952 to 1980. The tower houses on the top the concert of 7 bells which underlines the TWINNING which took place during the Pilgrimage of July 1977, with the Garden of the three Shepherds. Each bell is engraved with a text from the message of Fatima (1917). The largest was cast by the Pontifical Marinelli Foundry of Agnone (Molise) in 1980 and the rest in 1981 by the Capanni Foundry of Castelnovo ne' Monti on behalf of Scarselli OES of Signa (FI). The latter also took care of the electrification of the entire plant. Over the years, the plant has undergone several modifications (replacement of motors, electric hammers and clappers). For about 2 years, between 2020 and 2022, they were stopped and then silenced due to the renovation work on the bell tower. In 2022 the 6 minor bells were equipped with a linear motor by the Belltron company. The big bell is currently stopped. Bells II, III, V have falling clappers while IV, VI and VII have momentum. In the video we listen to the first simulated play and see the call for the solemn Holy Mass taken from different perspectives both from below and with the drone.

III - G3 (weight 500 kg)-DEPARTED "O my Jesus forgive our faults, preserve us from the fires of hell, he takes all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of your mercy"

I ask your forgiveness for all those who do not believe, they adore, they don't hope, they don't love you - In remembrance of the consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary of the region of Abruzzo and Molise. Un altro concerto bello di Pescara, il terzo a mio parere dopo San Cetteo e la BV del Rosario...sicuramente un'eccellenza di Capanni e di Marinelli che insieme hanno fatto un bel concertone! Peccato però la distesa simulata di V e VI, quella non la capisco proprio...

Purtroppo allo stato attuale le campane non sono tutte attive a distesa. Bisogna attendere che si completino i lavori di ripristino quando ci saranno le possibilità. ✌
