Festive bells - San Flaviano Cathedral - Giulianova (TE) ABRUZZO

- In this video I'm in Giulianova, an Italian town in the province of Teramo in Abruzzo, to document the festive and solemn concert of the Cathedral of San Flaviano. It was built in the seventies of the fifteenth century with influences from the Tuscan and Umbrian architecture of the time. The collegiate church stands in the center of the historic city, the central fulcrum of Giulio Antonio Acquaviva's ideal city. In the beginning it was isolated from the rest of the houses, which from the 16th/17th century were instead connected to it on the southern side. The militaristic typology identified for example in the extraordinary breadth of the walls and in the reinforcing pilasters at the corners places the building in terms of grandeur and uniqueness of the project as the first example in Adriatic Abruzzo. Octagonal in shape, it is surmounted by a dome, resting on a drum which ends with an octagonal lantern. The cap is covered with semicircular terracotta tiles (once in blue majolica with a refractive effect, which made it a desired point of reference visible from the sea at a considerable distance). The interior appears bare after the restorations of 1926 and 1948 (the last ones by Arnaldo Foschini) aimed at restoring the fifteenth-century spatiality. In the late Renaissance and Baroque period it was decorated with frescoes and ornaments. Other works no longer present are a processional cross by Nicola da Guardiagrele and the silver reliquary with the remains of the saint, which were replaced in the twentieth century by valuable paintings and sculptures by contemporary artists (Venanzo Crocetti, Renato Coccia and Aligi Sassu). Below the collegiate church is the crypt which was built to contain the remains of the patron saint and some personalities from Giulia. The belfry houses a concert of 4 bells, cast by the Pontifical Marinelli Foundry of Agnone in 1961 and electrified for the extended sound and for the tolling sound with electro-beaters. The 3 previous bells were located on the side of the church opposite the square and were jammed with the Pasqualini stocks currently kept on the terrace. In the video we see the festive and solemn play and the mass touches.

La distesa festiva e il plenum per che occasione sono stati eseguiti?
La distesa festiva suona nelle domeniche normali 30 minuti prima della messa; la distesa solenne lunga ripresa nel video di solito suona per la processione. Nelle Solennità è programmata la distesa solenne più breve. Dura più o meno come il festivo.

Non c'era nessuna processione. La suonata è stata azionata gentilmente dal Parroco per la ripresa.
@@ReporterAGABRIELEBENVENUTO Campane spettacolari, la distesa prefestiva/festiva suona anche 15 minuti prima della messa, invece nei feriali le campane suonano nella chiesa di Sant'Antonio alle 17:30/17:45 invernale, e alle 18:00/18:15 estivo, suonano le due campane maggiori, una De Poli e una Antica del 1600 + c'è una campana fissa sopra le due maggiori

Erano in un castello nell'altro fianco della cupola in una posizione al quanto strana. Per altre informazioni penso che Simone De Flaviis sappia qualcosa in più.
a parte i complimenti per il video, le suonate, le campane mi ha colpito anche la marcia iniziale. di quale opera fa parte o chi è l' autore?
Sono grato e felice del tuo apprezzamento! La marcia iniziale è la Marcia dell'Ordinanza della Marina militare eseguita dalla Banda della Marina militare italiana. L'ho scelta come musica perché mi piace moltossimo in quanto gioiosa ed allegra.

@Enea Auriti Più che altro è la terza che è un po' sbeccata ma ciò non implica il suono della campana.
@campanaro69 Sì per la manutenzione è la Ditta De Santis-Corinaldi che cura il tutto infatti come hai scritto il battaglio del campanone è stato sistemato perché spatolava.
