Arguably the most powerful and shocking moment of the show. This scene shook me to the core man, and this masterpiece of music helped elevate that.
No doubt about it.

Classic M83 especially deserves more. I'm not opposed to Anthony diving deep into 80's nostalgia, it certainly helped monetarily and was very timely for "the market". Nothing comes close to this album and "Before the dawn heals us" Something about these 2 albums cuts right through me.

RobotCowhand, what about “Hurry Up We’re Dreaming”? I like the ones you listed and the one I listed. Most of M83’s music makes me feel like I’m in another dimension. I wish M83 would make more music like this.

Every time I listen to this song, I feel the hardest feelings I can imagine.
The atmosphere of anxious expectation is replaced by an explosion of heartache and a scream that tears you from the inside, leaving scars, after which you are covered with waves, similar to the clouding of the mind when you lose touch with reality. Something happened that broke you, you will never be the same again.
This composition is an extremely psychedelic creation, after which you need to take a breath and calm down.

I think this one's for those that don't have a voice. That synth sounds like a scream. If you happen not to be able to scream, this lets you know there are other ways to make you heard.

If angels had their own soundtrack when appearing to humans, this would be it.
i was walking home and KICKING myself for messing up with girls and life and shit and this and that and it's freezing and dark out and no one is on the streets or driving or cats in the road and i'm just so annoyed with myself and can't stand it and all of a sudden i play this song out of my plenue d and it clicks it fucking clicks and i think to myself that i'm fine and i can't mess up because it's impossible to mess up and i'm warm and it's impossible to feel cold and alone when this sheer dandy of a soundscape comes up to bat
This was the first M83 song I heard and it was so powerful to me. The build up and release was just so incredible.
Justine Kurland's photo reminds me of I-89, somewhere near Whaleback, or something. I love the winter landscape. It's incredibly beautiful, hurtling up 89, in the middle of winter. Minus zero temps, but you are safe and warm in your car, doing 75, on a crisp winter afternoon. Heading home, the last warmth of the sun just peaking over the ridge, lighting up the hills on your right. You get off the highway for gas and some shitty road food at the truck stop. Shoes crunching in the snow...

Came back to this song after many years, I see it was featured on Mr. Robot? Crazier than that this shit was blowing people's minds before Netflix was even a glimmer of an idea. Still one of the most emotive tracks I've ever heard; pure brutality in its raw power, without Gonzales m83 was never the same. This song proves it. I'd pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars to hear this done live just once.

Idk what it is about this, but I like it a lot. It’s dark, very dark, but yet peaceful and thought-provoking. I can definitely see dead cities, red seas, and lost ghosts in my mind when listening.

The most powerful
This is a powerful piece, and combined with the scene in Mr Robot where he discovers the man in his head is his dad is heartbreakingly poignant. Watching it back with these sounds can feel like your heart is going to explode. It reminds me so much of the plastic bag scene in American Beauty when he talks about there being so much beauty in the world.
