Finding a derm who will sympathize & actually help with bumps is way more difficult than you acknowledge, Dr. Dray. Most frown at you & refuse to help. I’ve been to 4 lately that wouldn’t do a thing for my various “minor” bumps. You are unusual, Dr. Dray, in your caring & kindness. I’ve come to the conclusion, finding a derm like you is difficult to impossible. Most are just interested in pushing expensive procedures and that’s it.

Wow thats not cool! Im so sorry you've had those experiences. I have Endometriosis, and I found that OBGYN were similar, it was hard to find one that actually cares and just wants to help me. Its so sad that there's so many medical professionals that aren't interested in helping everyone.

Also finding a dermatologist that actually sees patients for these issues in general, I've found I've been mostly pushed off to PAs and the actual practicing Dermatologists to be very short and dismissive. We need better quality Dermatologists. The PA that I see is nice (much nicer than the actual derm herself), but its obvious her knowledge of ingredients is lacking. Just writing this out makes me want to seek another (4th) dermatologist office.

I’m in Australia and have seen a derm on a number of occasions both with skin reactions and for adult acne in my early 40 s honestly she was just lovely sympathetic and worked with me to resolve conditions and educate me on best management and pushes sunscreen as a daily essential

Discretion: speaking in such a way so as to avoid offending or embarrasing another person; refraining from stating certain thoughts.
Tact: choosing your words and actions wisely; sensitivity in dealing with others, especially regarding difficult issues.
đŸ˜Ș It saddens me that anyone has felt hurt by unsolicited & unwelcome comments from others about their appearance.
The comments are quite often said in the form of a "back-handed compliment" ie. "You'd be prettier if..." or under the guise of "just trying to help".
People have different reasons for being indiscrete and/or tactless; quite often it's so they can feel superior, to try to have power over you, or if they are envious of an aspect of your life in which they are deficient.
I find that a single word answer (like "no") is often sufficient to end the topic. If not, you can throw the question back at them and ask "Do you think that your comment is too personal?" Another way to end the subject is by just saying "I don't wish to discuss this". If someone says "you are too sensitive" I reply by saying "it balances out the insensitive".
However, if someone gets asked if they have had a freckle or mole checked I think you can assume that they are asking out of genuine kindness and concern. It''s normally if they have had a personal experience.

I'm so so glad I discovered you Dr. Dray... I work as a pharmacy assistant and cosmetic advisor in a small pharmacy in Greece, and you are the most educational and helpful CZcamsr out there! I truly cannot watch anyone else advising for skincare after I've seen some of your videos... You already helped me so much at my work (and of course my personal skin care routine). I also believe you have a charisma at communicating your knowledge to people. You are really special, the words you use and your accent are kind of addictive! I'm planning to watch and hit like button at each and everyone of your videos ! Cuz I feel I'm doing something productive and not just spend time uselessly here in CZcams. You are beautiful inside and out and so so cute 😊!!!

Thoughts on Differin’s Detox mask? Do you think it is better than Cetaphil’s Mask?

Can you review Naturium's azelaic acid and niacinamide serums? I really enjoy both of their formulations. And its a pretty affordable brand.

Okay I guess I can send a photo to my primary care physician regarding this one lonely bump of some type on my nose because I definitely do not remove my mask when I go to her office and all of my complaints are under there! :-) in the meanwhile I have been using salicylic acid on it alternating with the Neutrogena retinol cream, just in case is more of a closed comedone or something like that so just to do in the meanwhile. I'd like to go straight to the Derm but they seem to be quite booked for some reason. This was a very helpful video, had no idea there's so many types of bumps even beyond the 10 you've listed here. Thanks.

I have some sort of weird skin bubble on my eyelid and on a couple of other places on my face. I think it might be viral. Tried removing it with 20% salicylic acid, but there is very little progress after ~10 attempts. I will probably have them removed at my derm’s.

Good morning Dr. Dray quick question đŸ™‹â€â™€ïž is the red light therapy used for anti aging the same used for hair regrowing? The at home devices not the professional in office.

Do you have any insight on fibrous papules on the nose? I suddenly started developing a bunch on my nose and it is concerning. I got one removed via shave excision and then had some cautery done on the wound. It worked but I was wondering if there is any product I can use to prevent or treat them at home. Thank you!!! Major fan of yours and your content!

Thanks for covering the bumps from rosacea. My local cosmetic clinic recommends light therapy (BBL, HALO) for rosacea. I have seen some written articles about this online but I don't know if there is any scientific research that holds evidence that these therapies help with alleviating the redness and bumps of rosacea?

I don’t know about those but the derms I follow and personally consult with recommend pulsed dye lasers like vbeam or excel v for rosacea

Hi Dr Dray, I’m not sure if you’ve covered this (I’m new here), but what is your take on facial massagers? Like those jade rollers. I’ve been thinking of getting one, but haven’t decided yet.

After starting using Nuface, I seem to start developing colorless, painless bumps on parts of my face in various sizes, particularly on my forhead and cheeks. I use aloe gel instead of Nuface gel and I never had any black/white heads or acnes. It's almost like I am having a allergy reaction, what exactly are they?

    Dr Dray,
I notice that I get bumps on my forehead after applying stronger L ASCORBIC ACID serums for about two three days. The bumps are spread out(similar to purging) rather than rash looking... Does it mean I'm getting allergy related bumps reacting from the serum?... In other words, is there bumps due to allergy or reacting from products?
