    Thank you so much.
    I have been trying to learn how to finish my weaving without a tassel and the half Damascus is perfect.

    I saw this technique once and have been wanting to use it for my fringeless weavings. So nice to add this to my stitch library.

    Great vids. Do you have any vids on warp faced weaving. I'd love to combine the two.❤

      Sorry, I don't! Warp faced weaving would be better done on a floor loom or inkle loom, vs the frame loom I use on this channel.

    Anyone know if this stitch will hold up in washing machine? Thanks

    Neat! Have you tried pairing this with a twining stitch out of curiosity, or would that be weird or structurally unsound? 🤔

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  Před rokem

      I haven't, in this particular weaving the twining wouldn't have provided much structure since the warp was a little wider and the materials I was weaving with were quite thin.

    I’ve always finished with a twinning stitch or a hem stitch. Would it be okay to do this on a really big piece? I’m so nervous haha

      I think this would be fine on a big piece *if* it is tightly woven enough on the bottom.

    Hi! Ur videos are so helpful! I'm 12 years old. I have a question. While I weave to the top, the weaving gets tight, even though I take care. So, do u know how to solve this problem? Ty! 😊

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  Před rokem

      Your weaving will always get tighter as you weave and fill up the warp, if it's getting way too tight you may need to create more of an arch as you're weaving: czcams.com/video/g4iaPTmzvuU/video.htmlsi=yqMmZNEE3eP0jazG
      If that still doesn't help, you may just be weaving too close to the top of the loom, so either try to end your piece further from the top, or use a larger loom so you don't have to fill up the warp completely.
