    Is it a must to let the king stand by the middle to show that its a draw?

    • @BruceBoppoTiemann
      @BruceBoppoTiemann Před 4 lety +1

      Look at the color of the squares the two kings are placed upon. If both are white, white won. If both are black, black won, and if there is one king on each color, it was a draw. The pieces apparently have magnets (or something) underneath, and the boards have sensors, so the board can read the positions of all the pieces. Placing the kings in the center on opposite colors informs the board that the game was a draw.

    • @Gigalink07
      @Gigalink07 Před 4 lety

      Yes, because the board is programmed, and it will read that as a draw

      That's Carlsen's mistake. If White Knight come to e5, it gets caught by f6's pawn. Because f7's queen is safety by f8's rook.

    Magnus is copying a lot of Kasparovs behavior, adjusting all the pieces in the beginning even though the time is ticking, putting both his hands on his head. Not surprising since he must have been his hero when he was younger.
