- A westbound empty coal train slowly makes its way past Bretz Lane, and just after it ends, a 65 mph intermodal train flies past the camera east. I calculated the train speed at about 66.05 mph.

That K5LA horn sound never gets old.The echo effect was majestic.
Love seeing trailers on trains
I have video from this spot of the NS cnj heritage unit on a hot shot intermodal, it never ceases to amaze me how fast the trains go thru here.

Shame they don’t sound horns like this in UK
i was curious how you figured it was doing 66?
+Adam Counterman frame by frame timing, to say the least and not bore anyone.
Ok. Cause the speed limit for intermodal is 60 on NS. Not looking to start any arguments, but if they were speeding, they could be in real trouble, so i kinda doubt it was going that fast.
+Adam Counterman it seems they like to cheat 60 out there... it's surprising sometimes.
Maybe, im not on those but they shouldnt do it. I guess its their careers if they get caught. I didnt think he would have been going 6 over the limit. Thats fireable offense
+Adam Counterman you're right. usually they only do about two over the limit if any.
