Best magic trick I've ever seen Alex.. lol That filter just completely disappears. I even slowmo the video back and didn't even notice it leaving the board or tweezers. 9th Dimension is a scary place!
My idea is that the glue made it stick to the underside of the PS (or whatever he said it was) metal heat shield. I have no visual evidence for this. It is really the only place it seemed it could have went. I did the same. heh
lol I use 0.5 speed and can't even notice where's the component gone 😂
@@maklogetrich2378 That's ok. I have a Firefox plugin that lets you do frame by frame, both forward and backwards. Same as you. haha
There is a small component to the left and down a little which is displaced and not sitting on both pads
Visible at 1:10 and 7:57
@@Apofoo saw it too
Already fixed..
Excellent work Alex. Greetings from México. In my work we said to each other 'Tranquilo my friend' when we struggle with a tough situation 🇲🇽
I love the ‘this component is gone to the 9th dimension’ remark. It always makes me smile 😆🙏🏼
Wow that thing had a lot of faults. Screen not working because of the filter, digitizer not working, battery defect, one connector broken, home button wonky. Really shows that you shouldn't always try to repair your own devices. Those things are so delicate you will almost certainly break something if you aren't incredibly careful.
Anyway good job fixing it.
9 dimension is real, i look forward and backward still wondering where the filter is
@@manueluninteressant9917 you too? Lol i make the video .25 and still wondering where it goes
X-Files 👽
Same lol 😂
it went behind that antena cable, when he removed it it flew off
@@geovani60624 no it slipped under the button at the edge in the moment he touched the button with the component between 4:20 and 4:21. under this button is a gap at every edge where the component fits perfectly into it.
This video of changing the video screen is very helpful to me, it is worthy of praise
Hi Alex, I must say you are doing a great job out there, you are an inspiration to many of us that watches you your youtube channel.
Qhawe Lindo Msimang in South Africa
Good job mate 👍
Excellent work Alex 😀👍. ...
... and if I were to start a spare parts store I’d definitely include 9th Dimension in the name 😁
Could be a nice T-shirt.
nice job as always
Man, if we could only travel to that 9th dimension. Washers, springs, clips, tiny screws, it would all be there waiting for us.
Great job
Phew, that was scary! The 9th dimension! Now I know where all my paper clips, my tiny cell batteries and my exes went to! No wonder they never returned! A splendid repair and restoration!
Even if it is something that saw you doing, but I love watching it
Great job.
That filter literally dissapeared live on camera, one frame it's there, next frame puff gone forever, seamlessly
Nice fix eng. ❤
Nice t-shirt mate
4:19 I have seen my tools actually repell small components. Its crazy how this one just vanished under the microscope
Awesome
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
what if that lost filter dropped in and make a short circuit later on the logic board ??
It can run, but it can’t hide… lol Good one Alex… Great repair video…. better than factory is all about…. Factory can run, But Factory can’t hide.. lol smh idk what I’m talk about… 😅 😢😂😊. Great video Alex, Big Boss… 😊
with all the parts replaced, does it was worth to fix it ? unless customer need the data ?
Came in for repair.
8:08 whe have a Capitor Moves, to down the One Conector-flex?
Alex, I know where that component went. The same place where all my missing socks are 😉
Where the heck did it go!!!!!
Mashallah... Love from Pakistan
Ive got a question.. i bought a steam deck a few months ago and its my prize possession. I don't exactly have alot of money but i love it! And really want to take good care of it. Its going to need a good cleaning inside soon and i was wondering if you do that and how much to do it if so. I think you're amazing at what you do and i want this done by someone i know i can trust. If you need my email or anything just let me know. Thanks and i appreciate it!
I have a kitchen drawer that IS the 9th dimension... there's random stuff in there that I can't explain how or why it ended up there..!!!
Jeez, that customer really wanted to save that iPad, must've had important data on it, that was probably a pricey repair (Fair for the work that went into it though)
Considering having to replace batery and digitizer, does it realy make sence to fix it?
No, only if there was important data
The 9th dimension wizard has claimed another victim
Only one or two will get this but this repair was like Dark Souls --- Gravity Boss wins every time 🤕
Filter went to the 9th dimension to never be seen again. Just like the infamous 10mm sockets. 😅
I can see how difficult this board was to work on' the question is , how are those boards flowed with solder in manufacture without damage to surrounding plastics ............
which hot air station do u use sir????plz share🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
It's available for purchase on their website
👌👌👍👍
Hi
Lol man this tablet was a roller coaster. This guy has surgeon hands cuz my shaky hands would cause irreparable damage 😂
Made him work for his dollars on this one for sure.
Oh the joys of making tech smaller and smaller... everything gets smaller and harder to work on, especially when those companies fight tooth and nail to prevent repairability.
Component hocus pocus yocus 4:18
so many fingerprints on that lcd omg
If I were CZcams, I would higher the minimum monetizing time from 10 to 30 minutes. ;)
😢
Is it worth to replace so many parts on an iPad?
Part are not new..but take donner boards....the most costs it jobs itself than parts
Customer could likely have paid for a new one but in case of multimedia devices they're almost always there for data recovery
Good lord that was alot of problems, might have been cheaper to buy a new one.
What does Alex says to his wife in bed? "We're gonna have to heat up from the bottom..." 😂
Sorry Alex, no offense intended. Keep up the good work. 🙏
🙏👏👏👏🙏
every time a component drops it falls into the 9th dimension looks like a X file to me ......Mulder help
it slipped under the button... needed to slow down the video to 0.25 to see what happend
Hi. Big Boss called and said I could have free repairs for life for any gear after you make the video game with virtual Alex repairing stuff for final Big Boss level 11 because the idea was a goldmine. True? Or was it imposter Big Boss that called? 🤣
😍😍😍💖💖💥💫💥💖💖😍😍😍
Eventually you will not be able to do these micro repairs with designs becoming so microscopic 😮

iPad that came from Hiroshima
First!
🏆. 5 Seconds after video upload. How is that possible?
@@NorthridgeFix lol I was soldering some practice boards I got today and stopped for a sec to check my phone, soon as I opened it your video popped and I commented xD
Or you can say we are dedicated fans and Canadian internet is badass xD
Regardless thanks for your continuous uploads, your videos are great and have given me a huge interest in micro soldering I am having a blast.
First.
Lol xD
@@richardkean1559 Actually 2nd. Congratulations.
Gotta beat 5 seconds next time :p
YOUR TWO LIERS.. Im first..😅😅😅
xD
Apple products seem to be built for NO easy repair.
Apple sets up their foreign factories with some of the most wildly configured designed devices requiring an entire factory full of techs to do the manufacturing.
One person all day does only one part of the device.
Here, Mr. Alex exceeds their limited skill levels.
@Northridgefix JayzTwoCents wants to do a collaboration with you think it will be awesome!
It's tiny to a point where I cannot control it 🥲
