  • We've stayed at this site many times. We've camped in a tent, stayed in the wigwams, and visited in our touring caravan. It's one of our favourites sites.
    There are lots of walks around and near the site. Braid Hills is great, with fantastic views over the city of Edinburgh.
    More information can be found on their website www.meadowhead.co.uk

    Yeah been here with the kids several time, often camping right next to the play area, my kids love it too. Highly recommend the campsite.

      David Addis Great site. A bit mix of nationalities on site. Good fun. You may have me mixed up with someone else though. I’m T1 (Michael). Thanks for taking the time to comment. That was really kind of you.

      No problem. I’ve just watched a CZcams video from Trev & Rich over on the LegsDown caravan channel. Perhaps you were mixing me up with Rich.

      (Get Your) Legs Down Thank you. I'm so pleased I've found a UK caravanning community here on CZcams. It's a great way to share & exchange views on all things caravanning.

      Home from Home with Lin & Rich Thanks, Lin. There's a C&M Club site in Edinburgh too. I've not stayed at it, but it's on our list.

    Thanks for posting. I see that the restaurant is dog friendly but can we take our dog onto the bus to Edinburgh?

      Thank you. I’ve no idea about whether the buses in Edinburgh accept dogs on board. If I was to guess I would say yes no problem. I’ve took my dog on lots of busses and trains. It’s never been a problem. Best wishes.

    hi if you are staying in wigwams or a tent are you able to have a power plug in your tent all night to keep your phone charge up all night is there a 4 plug power point near by

    • @t1outabout275
      @t1outabout275  Před 4 lety

      The wigwams have standard plug sockets so you can plug phone chargers etc straight into the sockets. For tents you would need to purchase a special 3 pin safety power cable. Sold in lots of camping and caravanning shops (Go Outdoors etc). The special 3 pin safety socket plugs into the site’s power boxes. You can then use a normal plug to connect. Always check with the site first. Nothing worse than arriving and finding you haven’t got the right power cable. It’s all about safety.
