OK Ryan, your pronunciation is diabolical, but don't worry, probably 95% of Scots can't pronounce some of the Gaelic names of the places you describe, either. Nevertheless, you sound very sincere and I love your American accent. Your enthusiasm comes over really well. Thanks for all the compliments about my homeland. Haste ye back.

What a beautiful video Ryan, much better than the 'Visit Scotland' adverts and I fully agree with Duncan. You've probably visited more places in Scotland than many Scots including myself and why anyone on here is taking offence at your pronunciations is beyond me you are after all not Scottish and you have a beautiful accent of your own, where are you from is it the USA or Canada? As my fellow Scot said 'Haste ye back' and if you ever need a place to rest your head and have a nice meal you are welcome to spend some time with my family and I here in Stirlngshire 👍 My Grandson's name is Ryan also and it's supposed to mean 'Little King' 🦹‍♀️💗

Love your adventures. When my husband and I went to Scotland for the first time. We met one of the local pipers on the Mile and bought drinks for him and his girlfriend. When they found out it was our 40th anniversary we all hiked up to Arthur's Seat and the piper played a tune for us as we sat on one of the boulders looking out over Edinburgh at sunset.. I feel a bit bad for all the negative comments though - yes some of the pronunciations were a bit off but I reckon if all these people complaining were to visit your country they will pronounce plenty of things incorrectly. Hell, some Scottish people even pronounce places in Scotland incorrectly! 😂

As much as some pronunciations aren't perfect (that's an easy fix!), I'm glad Scotland is getting the recognition it deserves. Also, just a FYI on thinking Scotland was flat before visiting, it's called the Highlands as the terrain is much more mountainous that the South of Scotland - which is also referred to as the Lowlands. Even with that differentiation I wouldn't say much of Scotland is flat aha :)
