Easily the best interview for geeks like me. Thank you all. So much left to be had. Stay on the edge folks. God bless you all.

All of this is why I & my nephew are getting an Elite 2000 + V8 terminated harness to control his short deck SBF + 5 speed street/strip 4-eye notch Mustang project we're working on together. It's just a gutted dirty Fox with an NA, .020 over, short deck truck block(not that it matters - still splits at 500...) small block with TFS top end and a New Edge T5 for now, but it'll certainly be getting an engine(and trans obviously) swap + some power adder soon enough!
But, until then, I'm just excited to order this ECU and get it installed so that I can start doing exactly what he's talking about - making use of all of the I/O in this hardware to control variables from the most significant to the most minute, not to mention the engine protection strategies, traction management strategies, pure data logging, this is just going to open up the game in regards to data collection, processing, and translating it into both short term on track gains as well as long term direction as far as what physical changes need to be made in the future.
I would even wager that a significant amount of owners of Haltech hardware are under-utilizing it, leaving time on the table by failing to populating as much of the I/O as possible, learn just how powerful this hardware-software package really is, and using that data to make those positive short term & long term changes.

Other than ease of use, do you think you would get a noticeable amount of weight savings? fewer boxes/wiring etc.
