LISTENING ands an actor | Acting Tips With Peter Kalos
LISTENING!
One of the most difficult things to do as an actor sis to listen, because you’ve heard the lines over and over again during rehearsals, you know exactly how it will be said, the tone, the intensity - at that stage you stop listening and just focus on your pre-programmed response.
Our job as an actor is to treat everything we do as if we’re finding it in the moment- you're hearing these lines for the FIRST TIME as the character.
Not easy to do, but there are skills and tools that can help you as an actor to avoid the pitfalls of mimicking and not actually LISTENING!
